Puri Wirata Dive Resort and Spa

Wonderful hotel and staff, if you are thinking of using the dive centre for your first dive make sure you try to get into a smaller group with say a 1-2 ratio. Although the assistant instructor held my hand for most of the dive, I resurfaced far too quickly and suffered 'sinus press' which is still with me a week later and makes flying difficult.

We stayed here for 3 nights and then extended our stay because we enjoyed Amed and the hotel so much. The staff was very welcoming, helpful and accommodating. We went to a few other hotels in the area to eat and were unimpressed with their menu and the hotel grounds compared to Puri Wirata. Our room was big and had a great view of the ocean. We rented snorkeling gear everyday from the dive shop. We will definitely stay at Puri Wirata if we come to Amed in the future.

This place is good for the price. Clean, modern, views in every room, nice staff, good swimming pools. I did not like the food at all. They charge extra for butter instead of olive oil with bread.

This hotel was absolutely perfect. We got an ocean view room. The 2 pools have the view on the ocean. The restaurant is very very good. Staff was extremely friendly and nice. Diving center was also very professional.

Perfect place for diving. The staff are wonderful. They take care of my daughter during the diving class.

Great hotel, Although having a room at the back of the complex we still had nice views over the ocean from our balcony! Also from our bed, waking up in the morning looking over the ocean with palms, trees and greenery in the foreground with birds singing!! Staff were awesome!! Great food at the hotel restaurant which we had food and beers at quite alot!! Complex is situated right on the beach and has 2 beautiful pool areas overlooking the stoney beach. We hired a scooter&snorkeling equipment for a day and went snorkeling near by at the Japanese ship wreck and at Lipah beach, both very good. Loads of fish at Lipah beach :) Dive shop staff are very helpful and friendly.

I chose this accomodation because it was linked with bali reef divers. I completed my open water diver certificate while in Amed. Both the accomodation and diving staff were great. I was in two rooms. The first was slightly smaller than expected. The second room was huge. The shower was amazing! After only having cold showers for a few days it was so nice to have a hot shower with good water pressure! The Amed area is very hilly. So it would be handy to have a scooter to explore the area. Most restaurants arnt too far by scooter. Yes Puri Wirata is a bit further than other accomdation options however it's quiet and worth it. If you are thinking of diving go with bali reef divers! I had such a great experience with these guys. Overall I would stay here again.
