SureStay Hotel by Best Western Castlegar

Great price, complementary breakfast, clean room, comfortable bed, friendly staff!

I don't like being held ransom by high fee's and damage holds.

The staff was very friendly.

Old and poorly maintained. Rooms had air units that emitted awful smelling air.

Hard to like when it is not clean. That is the number 1 requirement.

Location was the best feature. Price was reasonable. Very clean. Staff very friendly and efficient.

Fridge in our room was noisy. Kept me awake at night. Breakfast was adequate but uninspiring. I wish they could do scrambled eggs that looked and tasted like eggs and not just bland rubbery squares.

The continental breakfast was very disappointing. Eggs were powdered eggs cut in squares, sausages-overcooked, waffle iron, and an odd taste. I did not enjoy it. I location was behind the hotel with no connecting door to the hotel. Area behind the hotel was not secure, leaving opportunities to have auto break-ins.

It was in a good location. Bed was comfortable and clean.

The staff at the desk checking in was awful. We had a little dog with us and were made to feel terrible about it. I don’t know who destroyed a room with an animal but our little Shitzu never leaves our side and would not destroy a room. They put us in a room at the back of the hotel and said it was not a pet friendly room but the floor was filthy. Feet stuck to the floors and the floors had claw marks on the floors and were very scratched. Maintenance room was next door, definitely a pet room.
