Hilton Garden Inn Aberdeen

Location was very convenient. The hotel is clean and comfortable. Centrally located.

Property was fine. Check in had me pay again when i had my expedia receipt. Sure hopr im not charged twice.

This Garden Inn lives up to the Hilton brand name. Reception staff were cheerful and charming, the room was clean and large, and the wi-fi was excellent for conference calls and Zoom meetings. Furniture was comfortable and there were lots of outlets for devices. Indoor pool, whirlpool, and exercise room were superior to many higher-end locations. In keeping with Hilton policy, there was a charge for breakfast but the lobby bar was more than adequate. Its location is slightly hard to find from either I-95 or US 40, but its convenient to both. There was a violent thunderstorm on the night that I stayed, but soundproofing prevented me from being awakened. An excellent, reasonably priced choice for Baltimore, Wilmington, BWI and of course the Army's Aberdeen Proving Grounds.

Solid hotel with all the necessary amenities. Very clean, comfortable beds, great temperature control in the rooms and the desk staff were very helpful. I’d recommend this for a quick stay for just a night or for a series of nights. There was a nice but small lobby bar and a reasonable menu.

As a lifelong traveler and Hotels.com customer who travels frequently with family, but especially on a regular basis for business, I am happy to say that this was one of the best hotels and customer experiences I've had in a very long time. The hotel and front desk manager, Thomas/Tom was a major reason! He went out of his way to accommodate my son and I, who were in town all weekend for Cal Ripken little league tournament! Cannot thank Tom and his team enough for all they did to help us and make us feel so welcome and appreciated - as a Hotels.com AND Hilton Honors customer!!!!!

Overall, I thought this was a great location with convenient food options.

There's nothing wrong with this property's location and the condition was generally okay (although there was some water damage in our bathroom, inadequate ventilation, and low water pressure - at least on the 4th floor). This Hilton Garden Inn seems to think they're fancier than they are. Charging $3 for bottled water left in the rooms (mini-bar style) and exorbitant fees for items available in the pantry at the front desk - still not terribly unusual. But do know that Wi-Fi isn't free unless you sign up for their rewards program, and then you only get their basic speed (which was enough to stream on a Roku stick). Otherwise, it's $4.95/day for hi-speed wi-fi. What earned them the 2-star overall rating, however, is the breakfast scam. I booked through Hotels.com and paid an extra $10 on top of the nightly rate for breakfast to be included. Their breakfast setup is an 80s or 90s style choice of buffet or a la carte, done table style. I told the front desk AND the restaurant staff that we had pre-paid for breakfast and was advised that it would be taken care of at checkout. I was charged separately for breakfast at checkout and when I showed the clerk my Hotels.com receipt indicating breakfast was included, she told me "we don't do that" and indicated it was my fault for booking through a 3rd party site. I left and called Hilton's corporate customer service number and was basically told the same thing. I do NOT blame Hotels.com for this.
