Closeness to the beach.

When we arrived at the condo the room was not ready at 4. We waited for the cleaner to finish cleaning and then were told it needed to be to be inspected and we waited even longer. We did not get into our unit until 4:30 without waiting for the inspection. We had to use the bathroom. We don’t understand if check out is 10AM but you can’t get in the room by 4PM. Also the tv remotes doesn’t work in front room . We had to turn on and off the tv manually. Same goes for the master bedroom. Problem with the master bedroom the cable unit is on the top of the cabinet we couldn’t reach to turn on.

The front desk associate, Katie, was SO NICE and super sweet. Also, the Cascadia Gateways Team was highly communitive and had great energy. They even gave us some coupons for the local shops in a goodie bag. Shower had amazing water pressure.

Where do I start? We were told our Queen suite (Room 210) had two separate bedrooms but it was actually two separate beds in the same room with a fold out couch in the living room. Not ideal for parents who like sleeping separate from their kids on vacation. The no AC was a MAJOR issue! It was HOT and STUFFY as hell in that unit! The amenities, beds, and pull-out couch are outdated and uncomfortable to sleep on and the whole unit smelled like a mix of dogs and old people. We had to buy a candle from a local shop to try and get the scent out. It didnt. Carpet had random stains and we even found someones old contact lenses in the living room on the side table, which made me question the cleanliness of the entire space. There are dishes for your use but youre expected to do your own dishes and run the washer which is the LAST thing I wanna do on vacation. They have an old school hot water tank in the units closet which will run out of hot water after one shower. So if youre a family larger than one person, I hope you enjoy cold water. Also, the water in the unit smelled and tasted earthy. They should probably get the tank replaced. Overall, the whole place was just fairly outdated and ghetto for the fat prices they charge.

The pool situation, the property is a little run down for the price ( compared to the resort, next door)

We were so impressed with our stay here. The condo was beautiful, spacious and super clean, and stocked with everything we could need in the bathrooms and kitchen. Staff were so communicative, attentive, and helpful all the way through booking to checkout. I appreciated the clear directions for checking in and checking out, and the easy parking. Our kid loved the warm indoor pool and we loved the location and ease of access to the beach and main street. One of the highlights was finding everything we needed for the beach here in the closet -- from beach toys to an umbrella to boogie boards. Not to mention extra sleeping pads, toys, DVDs, a washer and dryer, even a stroller. They have truly thought of everything! Super family friendly here. We loved our trip and can't wait to come back.

Our only issue was that our bedroom was right next to the keypad entry in the stairwell, so it was quite loud when other people entered/left while we were trying to sleep. Bring a white noise machine and earplugs if you're a light sleeper and you should be fine.

The woman checking us in was delightful and helpful. The location is pretty good as far as distance from the beach and main stretch of seaside.

Suite 310 is not ocean front. It has partial ocean VIEWs. We could not see the fire work show from our room because of the partial view. It also was in need of obvious repairs and upkeep. The curtains had weird stains. The bathmat that was rolled up and presented as clean had two pubic hairs in it, which has to make you think about how well they cleaned the rest of the linens. The beds were so awful that I slept in a chair the second night. One mattress had the actual cover falling off. Very old and disgusting with springs sticking into back. There are several things that were not up to code like the fireplace. There were dirty dishes in our dishwasher. The bathroom door was warped and out of alignment so it couldn’t shut all the way and made a huge racket trying to. The front door lock was not connected to the door and the screws were literally falling out. The patio slider couldn’t slide easily- it took two hands to open. The balcony railing is loose and wobbly!!! This is on the third floor and it is pavement below. And it was not just a little wobbly. It could move like 4-6 inches. VERY DANGEROUS! I paid nearly $1600 for two nights for room that was AT BEST worth $100 a day. They should take that money and update and fix all the safety violations.
