Hampton Inn & Suites Port Richey

Everything was awesome from check in to chech out!

I recently spent 11 nights at this Hampton Inn due to a family member being hospitalized locally. From the Assistant Manager, Jocelyn, as well as other staff members: Dorene, Tehela, Denise, Joyce, Silvia and Maji I felt well taken care of and safe. My room was kept clean, the lovely breakfast staff greeted me cheerfully each morning and kept the buffet area spotless and the coffee fresh. I’ve stayed at many Hampton Inns across the country, but this one will always stand out for me because of the extraordinary kindness, courtesy and professionalism of the staff. Thank you!

Great property. I had an adjoining room (not by choice) with noisy neighbors. Lesson learned. Other than that it was very comfortable with a good breakfast.

Nice place. Staff was excellent. Room was large. Free cookies and breakfast was good. We were on the street side. Motorcycles at night was loud. Refrigerator made a noice which was annoying at night. Microwave wasn’t the best but we saw lots of new refrigerators and microwaves in lobby so hopefully they replace them. Shower was large but no pressure and it was hard getting the soap out of long hair. Also it took forever to get hot water on 4th floor. No clock in room and at night without my glasses I can’t see my phone. We would stay again but can’t give a 5.

Doing a road around Florida, booking hotels can be a minefield! It’s a case of judging price and location and being from the UK, price of hotels in some locations are a tad eye watering. This hotel is easily located just off the 19 about an hours north of St Petersburg. We received a friendly welcome from the receptionist in our home for 4 nights. Rooms again were typical Hampton style which was found clean and tidy. They are on the smaller scale on one’s we have had before and ours had a fridge in it but our friends didn’t. Seems a little strange but hey ho. There is a small swimming pool at the hotel. Breakfast was the hotels strong point! It was fresh and tasty and the ladies work hard to keep the area clean and very tidy which looks like it has been refurbished. There were plenty of choices and probably the best of the hotels we stayed in on our trip around the Sunshine State. Overall, an excellent stay! Would we choose the Port Richey area again, probably not. It was not really in the ‘tourist area’ and Clearwater/St Petersburg areas were too far away to visit on a daily basis. Still Tarpon Springs was worth a look and Hudson Beach overlooking the Gulf was simply spectacular. This is personal choice though and has no reflection on the hotel at all as our stay was perfectly fine.
