Travel Inn

Everything was good with service and the room. Outside the motel room there were a few pot holes which should be fixed.

Staff member was helpful and courteous

Remote for tv was absolutely a nightmare

Very basic accommodations. Comfortable and clean, but certainly not luxurious. Owner was very pleasant and helpful. A previous reviewer said there was nothing on the TV except Netflix which you had sign in with your own ID. That is not so. It’s a bit complicated, but I got the owner to show me how to tune in to the live TV feed.

Needs some minor maintenance. e.g. burnt out light bulbs. TV was difficult to tune in; needed help from the owner.

The room felt and looked like a pay by the hour hotel room. It was filthy. I had to clean everything. I put the toilet lid down and and the filth was orange and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in forever. I didn't read reviews before booking but then came across one that talked about getting bedbug there. I packed up left and emailed the manager. Definitely not something i wanted to deal with after a 12 hour day of driving.

Poor lighting in the bathroom.

Very clean and well maintained - signs of some relatively recent repairs and painting, etc. The switch on one of the wall lights was broken, so needs attention. Because the Travel Inn is not on the main highway, unfortunately it does not seem to attract as many customers. One of the billboard signs still reads Holiday Inn, so needs to be replaced. The other disadvantage is that no breakfast is provided and this is a big attraction for the competitors. I am sure the manager is aware of these factors, but they need to be dealt with.

The fellow at the reception desk did not know what he was doing but he tried really hard.

Office/ reception door was locked and we had to buzz to alert someone. Signs everywhere to mask and socially distance. Guy couldn't find our booking. Door to room didn't work and they needed to get someone to come and reprogram it.

Good for a night's stay. Dining and essentials within walking distance. I am not picky so YMMV.

Ideal location. Reasonable rates. Clean and updated.
