Travel Inn

Hotel was clean but definitely needs to be upgraded as it is very out dated and mattresses are very springy, felt like I was on a boat every time my husband moved. Surprisingly slept better than expected. Seemed like they were still in Covid lockdown mode as we could only use the outdoor entrance to our room as there were signs on the inside of our door stating no entry to the hall.

The check in process was shaky at first, door locked. Phone outside to call, sat outside calling for 15 minutes. Was a little irritated but once inside and checked in, all was good! Beds very low and uncomfortable. Tv quit working in middle of the night. The staff really made this place better than it was, very polite and calm. Outside looks rundown and abandoned a little. Room was clean but very dated.

Arrived at 11pm after 12hour day of driving. Manager(sue) kept calling me “little girl” until I corrected him on this and creeped me out from some of the comments he made about myself + traveling alone. Upon entering room I put chair under the door knob of both doors as I didn’t feel comfortable but was still attempting staying. bedding and pillows on both of the beds had hair all over/ throughout it , certainly not belonging to me as they were all dark colored and my hair is blonde but manager insisted the room had been checked and was “up to standards”. Manager showed up at my bedroom door around 2:00am wanting to “inspect the room” after I mentioned wanting a refund / was packing up to leave immediately. My reasoning for this was due to the creepy manager, reading reviews online aswell about bed bugs being an issue, inspected both beds and sure enough there was evidence of this.i booked the round Hotels.com so I did not receive refund upon leaving but did not care as I wanted to get out of there asap! Manager was rude,and at first refused confirming a refund with hotels.com as I had “enjoyed the room for a total of 3hours”. Recieved a call at 8am the next morning from manager confirming a refund, I called the support people myself and was told he actually never called them!! manager had the audacity to offer me a free night stay if I returned to area which would not do even for free and asked me not to write a negative review!! DO NOT STAY HERE,SUPER GROSS AND CREEPY!!!!

As other reviewers have stated, the motel is dated but still comfortable. The staff at check in were extremely friendly and helpful. Great value for money. Will stay again if I’m ever back in the area.
