Clean, comfortable, facilities as expected. Very close to local attractions, town, sea front

Parking was on the street, but saying that it was very quiet as most traffic goes through main street.

The room was quiet and comfortable. Little thoughtful things like a small fridge, safe and hairdryer made the Penkelie outstanding value. The location is very close to the Promenade in one direction, and in the other direction you have Lord Street with shops and the Atkinson museum a short walk away.

Lisa who manages the hotel was so polite and helpful, she allowed me to say hello to her dog who was a german shepherd and one of my favourite breeds so the hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was great and spacious, wi-fi was very good and shower and toilet facilities were perfect along with refreshments/amenities. I would happily stay here again. Hotel is a short five minute walk from the promenade.

I couldn't get the lamps near the bed to work so this was the only issue.

Great little hotel, warm and friendly welcome, excellent room standard, beautifully appointed, with comfortable bed, good side TV, mini fridge, newly fitted modern bathroom, excellent welcome tray, and very clean, wouldn't hesitate to stay agin, bonus being, either off street parking or free parking permit, just a stone's throw from the town centre.

I didn't have breakfast.

Frankly, I couldn't fault anything.

Fabulous location to see Southport on foot. Lisa was a fabulous host. Nothing is too much trouble. Lots of thoughtful touches. Beautiful and comfy room. Really enjoyed the ambience.

Cannot think of anything I didn't like.
