Inn at Pleasant Lake

I recently stayed at this charming inn tucked away in the New Hampshire countryside, and it was exactly what I needed—a peaceful escape from the noise of everyday life. The property itself is beautifully maintained, with cozy touches that make it feel more like a home than a hotel. From the creaky wooden floors to the antique furniture, everything added to its quaint, old-world charm. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing. I spent my mornings sipping coffee on the outside patio, listening to birdsong and watching the lake across the street. The staff were friendly and unobtrusive, always available when needed but never overbearing. My room was clean and comfortable, with soft linens and a view of the lake that made waking up a joy. There are hiking trails that are a short walk away and the beach to relax at. The Inn had both chairs and towels that you could check out which was a nice touch. The kayaks and paddleboard were a fun option to go exploring the lake as well. The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is that the dinner, while lovely, was extremely expensive. But honestly, that’s a small quibble in an otherwise lovely stay. If you're looking for a quiet retreat to unwind and recharge, this inn is a hidden gem worth discovering.

The staff are very welcoming and ready to assist whenever needed. Facilities and equipment for sports and water activities provided free of charge. Also, a games room and complimentary tea, coffee and soft drinks at all times. The lakeside setting is beautiful. Breakfast was very good too.

Whilst the location is beautiful it is a distance from the town/ bars/restaurants in New London. Meals at the on site restaurant are on the expensive side. The air conditioning was extremely noisy and there was no apparent way to turn it off.

the only slightly disturbing thing regarding this inn was that my room, although clean , comfortable and very nice was on the third floor. This is a very old historic building and does not have an elevator. If an elevator was there or to be added it would destroy the ambiance of this beautiful building. However I am in my 70's and climbing steep stairs was not something my knees enjoyed. I was able to fix this by taking anything I expected to need during the day downstairs in the morning. I love the inn, and almost never left the property. I would stay there again but request a second floor room the next time.

The Inn at Pleasant Lake is a great location! The town is within driving distance. The lake is spectacular.!

Excellent breakfast. Also ate dinner at the Inn - delicious!

Draft beer would be a great addition.

Character property, wonderful staff

Lovely setting. The staff was very informative and incredibly accommodating and nice. Exceptional. Our dinner and the oak room with our waitress was fabulous. There is difficulty carrying bags upstairs, especially if you’re on the second floor. You do have to negotiate the various roof configuration so you do not bunk your head. Bathroom could use some more shelves and hooks. Perhaps during a sporting event such as the NBA playoffs a designated area with a TV would be nice. I understand the effort being made for the vibe. Again an excellent and friendly staff. Breakfast was great having coffee available was great.

Wonderfully kind & helpful staff, as well as accommodating. Beautiful guest room and beautiful common spaces with coffee, tea, books, games, and even kayaks & paddleboards available! AMAZING food in the restaurant.

Nice property overlooking the lake, Very quaint. Breakfast provided, and while not huge, hit the spot. No TV. That's good, as one detoxes from MSM. Room was quite comfortable. Really appreciated Justin (I think that's his name) helping me with the luggage. If I'm ever back in NH, I would stay there again.
