"Unique hotel - Clean with Free wireless"

10.0

A newer constructed hotel about a 1.5 mile walk east along the Neva River from the Hermitage. This was one of the most unique hotel experiences I have had- the hotel's interior and its rooms were decorated in a theme from the Russian novel, Crime and Punishment. Rooms were unique decorated and clean but a bit small. The free in-room wireless internet was nice. Front desk service was very pleasant and helpful. Beware - this hotel charges 200R per person to register your visa with the local police and does not tell you about this fee. While this registeration is required, but most hotels I stayed at in Moscow and elsewhere did this for free for their guests. While the hotel waived the fee for me since it was not disclosed, I was a bit disappointed upon check-out to see this suprise charge.

"little off from the main Nevsky prospekt"

8.0

-lovely interiors/staff liitle dozed off/it seemed they are not paying any attention to what was being said/check-in was a bit chaotic/they said they can offer 1 room in 40 minutes (we requested early check-in) but had no clue on any availability of the room even after 2 hours!! Though, they made up by giving all our 3 rooms after this prolonged wait. But it was very exhausting and only when we started getting annoyed, they got their act together. Till then they seemed like, well, sleeping!! But everything else was really nice. Except for the clueless/rude staff all was very very good. Location was little away from city centre but walkable (half an hour walk!!). But we did not mind as much. Might stay again.

"Best Hotel in the Baltics!"

10.0

We stayed at the Radisson Blu in St. Petersburg for 3 nights on the first leg of a whirlwind Baltics tours. This was one of 5 hotels we stayed in on our trip and this was by far the best. The location is the only drawback, but its really not much of a drawback at all. It's about a 10-15 walk to the middle of the action (Hermitage) but we didn't mind that at all. The staff was absolutely top notch. When we arrived at the St. Petersburg airport, my friend's luggage didn't make it from our connection in Copenhagen. The hotel completely took care of it for us and his luggage was in our room the next day when we got back to the hotel from sightseeing all day. We were there during the White Nights which was awesome. The hotel staff gave us good recommendations and arranged transportation for us when we needed it. My only complaint was that the breakfast, which was not included, was quite expensive for what it was. It was a buffet but on the small side and was about $30 per person. We did that the first morning we were there because we just didn't feel like trying to find another breakfast spot. The best part of the experience, besides the staff, was the room. The hotel has a "Crime and Punishment" theme. The rooms are funky and modern and the bathroom is awesome--I want the same one in my house! Beautiful, big walk-in glass shower with stone tiles and modern fixtures.

"great hotel - good location"

8.0

I stayed at the Radisson Sonya hotel in St. Petersburg Russia during a business trip in early June. This is my first time staying in this hotel, but I have used the other Radisson on Nevsky prospect. The Radisson Sonya provides a very good, and lower cost alternative to their hotel on Nevsky and I will not hesitate to use this hotel on future business trips to St. Petersburg. The rooms are good size and well equipped with wireless Internet, coffee maker, mini bar and safe. The location of the hotel is also very good. Their breakfast, which is included with the business class rooms was very good and those seeking American or European style breakfasts should be satisfied. I definitely recommend this hotel.

"Great time in St Petersburg!"

10.0

It was one of the most enjoyable vacations I have ever had! The hotel was consistently good. Rooms on the inside are a bit noisy early in the morning since the wait staff make noise getting ready for breakfast down bellow. AC was a bit noisy too. First night I arrived I stepped in someone's throw up getting onto the elevator. I wasn't happy it wasn't pointed out to me until after I stepped in it. I think it had just happened and the staff didn't have a slippery or wet sign out yet. Minor detail though. They rest of he stay was fine. Nice hotel with nice accommodations. Breakfast was too hight priced to include. I love st P

"This Hotel is a Keeper....."

8.0

The Radisson Sonya hotel is very nice. I was a visitor of the city of St. Petersburg Russia for the first time and I have to say, this hotel is very nice, friendly, and is a sight for sore eyes. The location is great, right in the middle of everything and you will have access to everything going on in the city, which is great for tourists......

"Good location, poor concierge"

6.0

Nice boutique styled hotel but you do pay for the design as the rates are not cheap. Location wise, it's 10mins stroll tothe nearest metro and 30mins walk to Cathedral of Spilled Blood and other sites. Concierge is the hotel's disappointment. They won't help you book tickets and directed us to a travel agency that's nearby. But in reality, it took us 30 mins walk to find it closed on Sunday despite her assurance that it's opened on Sunday!
