Radisson Sonya Hotel, St. Petersburg

We had some issues: 1) During our stay there was sewer gas coming from the shower...my son had the room next to us and actually had to move rooms. 2) The hot breakfast was very hot. Also one morning the server indicated that I only had the continental breakfast so therefore it was cheaper. That suited my fine...the next day I had continental breakfast again thinking it was cheaper as the previous day but not so. I was told it was busy the previous day so that is why I got a better deal. 920 rumbles is way too expensive for that breakfast! One day there was no change of towels when the room was made up...did receive towels after calling a couple times. We had dinner together with family a couple times in the restaurant it was superb.

Our first Hotel room 410 had a sewer smell. We complained and they didn't do much for us (sprayed a spray in there). The next day it was so bad smelling we had to switch rooms. We would have appreciated complimentary breakfasts or something. The 2nd room was more comfortable. It had a tub for our 1 year old to bathe in and it was a bit bigger. The room was quite hot and they fixed the thermostat. All in all 3.5/5 for the Radisson Sonya Hotel.

Staff was really helpful and friendly

The room was a bit small but bed quality made up for it. 10-15 Min walk from Moscowskiy railway station and 5-7 min walk to Nevsky Prospekt. Neat and cosy interior in historic building. Close to Niva river bank..

The hotel is comfortable. The staff by the name of Andrey Popov has been very helpful, prompt and cordial.

We were totally impressed by the hotel. Sparkling clean, the most comfortable beds we've ever had, close enough to the Metro train station and Nevskii Prospekt. Pretty surprised by the quality of the room at that price.

Everything was comfy and good. Friendly and nice location.

Better than I expected. Had read about the hotel but didn't recognise it from the description. Very pleasant and good double glazing in my room. Seems to be used mainly by tourists on package deals, but was fine for business.

Hotel room was too small for a five night stay Decoration was very modern which means shades of aubergine and mauve Breakfast was not included in the price Hotel was rated as 4 star but is more like a Western European three star Price was very high compared to European standards We visit Italy every year and have paid 100-120 euros for a better room in Milan Hotel is located in an up and coming part of town quite a long walk from the main attractions

Wonderful experience, the hotel staff were helpful and my accommodation was very comfortable and the food was delicious.
