Beautiful hotel, great location and delicious food.

It was beautiful decor was amazing

When we went into room i found a really bad smell they couldnt change room but give us complimentary drinks so they could refresh room

Beautiful building and sumptuous spacious rooms. Very comfortable and warm and friendly staff. The jacuzzi, steam room and sauna as well as gym were all lovely. Breakfasts in the great room were delicious.

Unfortunately, I had to call reception as our bath was dirty. House keeping came and sorted it quickly but I was not confident with the standard of cleaning in the room thereafter. The blind in our room would not open using the switch on the wall which meant we were reliant on artificial light.

Fabulous first stay at the Merchant Hotel. It was the perfect place as a postpartum mum to get 24 hours away from the dishwasher. 😂 Highly recommend. We were kindly offered a free room upgrade upon check in. The room was spacious, spotless and luxurious. The hotel location is excellent and very close to all shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the rooftop gym and hot tub with lovely views over the city. Sauna and Steam room are great too. We had an icy drink in the hot tub and then relaxed before enjoying dinner in Bert’s Jazz bar. Food was top notch as was the music. The breakfast in the great hall was the best hotel breakfast experience I’ve had yet. All the staff were really helpful and attentive. We will definitely be back. If I had to pick something they could improve on, it would be to add a few cocktails to the hot tub drinks menu offering.

We stayed here for my Daughters 🎂 birthday. This stay was a big treat. I have to say it was a wonderful stay. She got a lovely surprise with a small box of chocolates, a card, and a balloon delivered to the room. At breakfast time today, they came with a cake 🎂. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The rooftop hot tub was just delightful 😊.. The robes and slippers added to this experience. It's very easy to get, too. We had a cocktail 🍸 and it was delicious well worth the price. The breakfast in the great room was such a wonderful experience. Again, the staff were so lovely. I feel I had 3 days away, not one. The beds were very comfortable.

It was top class. Nothing

Good location for walking around Belfast city with a helpful and courteous team supporting guests. The building is beautiful and our room was very nice however the noise level from the pub across the road was intense and continued until the early hours. Breakfast was a mixed bag - some elements were very good and others having definite room for improvement. Overall we enjoyed Belfast but The Merchant given its high price tag just didn't live up to our expectations.

Another wonderful 2 night stay in this fabulous Hotel which is so conveniently situated close to the City Centre for shopping, bars and a fantastic choice of excellent restaurants. Beautiful Art Deco room. Really spacious with a lovely lounge area. Also,a huge bathroom containing a bath and large shower. The staff are all so warm and friendly and make us feel so welcome. The meal in Bert's Jazz Bar was outstanding and the music from the Swamptones was really enjoyable which added to an excellent atmosphere and a great experience. We have stayed many times in this Hotel and will definitely return soon.

Simply Special. Treated us like royalty. Perfect staff who obviously loved their jobs. Nothing was any trouble. Room splendid Cleanliness excellent Peaceful and quiet in rooms Jacuzzi, rock sauna, and steam room lovely. Dinner in Jazz Bar lovely Cocktails strong! Breakfast amazing. Such a lovely experience. Worth every penny. Stepped back into a world of class, manners, and quality!! 100% will come back to a haven of tranquility and atmosphere. Thank you x
