Church Street by Supercity Aparthotels

Stayed in Manchester many times and this one was a bit of a mixed bag. We parked at Northern Quarter Car Park which was just a 2 min walk away. The staff at the Reception Desk were pleasant and the reception area was very nice and clean. The apartment itself was HUGE. Very long corridors leading to two bedrooms and living/kitchen area. Lots of storage space. Spare Towels. 2x Fans which were absolutely needed! TV's in both bedrooms. TV and radio in the living room. All rooms decorated beautifully. Everything we could have needed, tea, coffee, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, dishwasher, cooker/hob etc... - the milk and bottled water in the fridge was a lovely touch. The balcony was a real bonus - especially as we visited during the 35 degree heatwave - and the apartment sadly had no air conditioning, so sitting out on the balcony in the evening was a welcome relief. The location is excellent, walking distance to everything you could need and there's a CO-OP right across the road, if needed, for a self-catering stay in the apartment.

Sadly the sofa in the loving room was badly stained with (what appeared to be) vomit. It had clearly been freshly scrubbed by housekeeping as the area was still damp, but it was unsightly and definitely put us off sitting there. We reported it to Reception and in hindsight I should have requested a room change, they advised that housekeeping had left for the day so we just covered it with a bath towel and used the dining chairs instead. The bed was one of the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on and the pillows were like concrete. Coupled with the heat, the relentless noise from the trams outside till past midnight, the road sweepers going up and down past 1am and the general noise of being city centre (which is no fault of the apartment) it was one of the worst nights sleep I have ever had. It would perhaps have been quieter with the windows closed, but being on the 11th floor in 35 degree heat, we had no choice but to leave the window open. Air Conditioning would be a real bonus here! The £250 damage deposit taken at check-in is one of the most expensive I have ever been charged - even compared to New York! However, with the vomit covered sofa taken into consideration, I guess it's a necessity based on the unpredictability of guests that come and go - it is just a "hold" but pay it on a credit card if you don't want it to eat up your spending money, as this was taken and then refunded less than 48 hours after check in.

the Location was excellent, staff were friendly, we were a large group (24 ladies) and the apartments were fantastic. Really well set up, clean and not noisy. Balconies were great too. Easy walking to all main central shops and going out. Highly recommend

Location was good, and spacious.

Hadn’t be cleaned, underwear had been left in the bathroom, politely asked the room was checked and cleaned. We then went out and came back hours later, underwear was still on the floor. The property was extremely hot, no ac or fans.

Location was excellent

I expected the basic but was much more than that ( washing machine and laundry pads provided, functional towel drying rack in the bathroom , bed was comfortable- on the soft side)

Ottima posizione, comodissima per visitare la città, in una zona molto vicina a ristoranti, bar e supermercati. Abbiamo soggiornato in un monolocale carino al primo piano senza ascensore, dotato di cucina e di tutti i servizi essenziali di cucina. Molto pulito, wi-fi perfettamente funzionante. Una opzione interessante per un paio di giorni di turismo.

Purtroppo l’insonorizzazione della stanza lasciava un po’ a desiderare. Ero un po’ preparata ai rumori provenienti dalla strada perché sapevo che si trattava di un primo piano (anche se speravo che le finestre filtrassero un po’ di più), ma durante la notte mi sono svegliata più volte per i rumori delle porte vicine e di quelle di accesso al piano.

The room is large and very suitable, the location is great and close to everything, and the kitchen is large and fully equipped.

I arrived at the hotel 50 minutes before check-in time and they told me that the room was not ready. They allowed me to leave my bags and wait in the street until the room was ready. I came back an hour later and took the room, and I was surprised that it was not ready at all. So I went down again and told them about it, and they told me that they would see what happened because it was clean on the system. I waited another fifteen minutes and asked them again, and they told me that the room would take at least another hour to be ready. I told them that this was impossible and that I would not wait, so they finally gave me another room.
