The location, the decor and ambiance.

The communication with the host. They contacted us multiple times to tell us we need to check in between 3-6 PM, we adjusted our schedule to accommodate and then they tell us they cannot be there to welcome us due to some business they need to attend to?! It was easy to do the self check-in, which worked well for us, but why make a deal about the arrival time, when self check-in is an option? A waste of time and effort!

The location is spectacular. They have limited parking but ample street around the area and generally safe. It’s historical and homey. If feels comfortable even though it’s a very antique and vintage hotel. It’s creaky and the floor boards and furniture creaks the floors may be slanted but this place has magic and comfort in excess!

The arrival area could do with some improvements, a welcoming smell (it had an unpleasent smell although the room itself did not), wine reception or tea and coffee available would be a nice touch. The coffee maker in the room was tricky to figure out and the bathroom needed some modernization,

Unique quirky home and delightful staff who really go out of their way to make you feel welcome in Napa. We had a wonderful 3 days here - Timothy is a wonderful host who gave us lots of good tips for local sites to see. The rooms are large, clean, beds are very comfortable and the shower is awesome :)! Thanks for having us - we hope to return soon!
