Beach Club

Horrible Don’t waste your money going here unless you just want to go in the pool and enjoy the swim up bar. No Uber/taxis, only a shuttle to get around. If you are not staying here good luck getting around. Buggies are reserved weeks ahead even though there are tons parked at the buggy shop. Idiots at guest services are not friendly or give bad information or tell you to download their app of answer I don’t know. Booked an atv tour was told to take the blue shuttle which comes at 1:20 - I asked 3 times to confirm. I waited from 1 pm - no shuttle came until 1:40 - too late for me to make my atv tour at 1:30. I go to take the bus customer service says it’s too late I won’t make it. Then they act like I am luck they are processing a refund. No chairs at the pool or beach available Jellyfish in the water and nothing else to do since the weather is unpredictable. Weather is not their fault. Like I said, don’t waste your money. Go anywhere else but Hamilton Island. Didn’t stay in the hotel, would never go back to this island.

Thought the rooms were extremely expensive for what they were, the bathroom shower leaked and room could do with some blackout blinds

I am writing to formally express my disappointment with the service and conduct of staff during our lunch visit to the Beach Club today. We had a confirmed booking for four guests (my husband, son, his friend, and myself). Our lunch bill exceeded $400, following a Christmas night dinner earlier this week of more than $1,000. During our stay, we had also made it known that we were seriously considering booking approximately 20 rooms and associated events for our daughter’s 21st birthday celebration in August 2026. At the time of our visit, we were actively deciding between Beach Club Hamilton Island and Hayman Island for this significant family event. After lunch, we moved tables to allow staff to prepare for the evening service and ordered additional drinks. While our drinks were being prepared, my husband briefly entered the pool to cool off. A waiter approached me politely and advised that use of the pool and facilities was restricted to guests, reading the relevant rules to me. I had no issue with this and fully understand that venue rules must be followed. However, shortly afterwards, a woman I assume to be the manager approached me in an abrupt and confrontational manner and said, “Is that your partner in the pool?” When I confirmed it was, she stated, “Well, he can’t be — you are not allowed to use the pool or the facilities.” I explained that he had only jumped in briefly to cool off and would exit shortly, as our drinks were on the way. Her response was, “I don’t care, I need him out now.” When I asked how I was expected to get his attention given he was at the infinity edge, her reply was again, “I don’t care, I need him out now.” The manner in which this was handled was completely unacceptable. I do not dispute the rules of the Beach Club — my concern is solely with the delivery. The interaction was rude, dismissive, and lacked even basic courtesy. To make matters worse, the staff member then proceeded to huddle with other staff members while pointing in our direction, which was both unprofessional and humiliating. This behaviour reflects extremely poorly on the management and culture of the venue. Given the level of spend during our stay and our genuine consideration of a substantial future booking, this experience was both surprising and deeply disappointing. We have stayed at the Beach Club many times over the years. Sadly, based on this experience, we will not be returning. Our planned family celebration in 2026 will now be taken to Hayman Island instead. I believe senior management should be aware of this incident, as no guest — regardless of spend — should ever be spoken to or treated in

Stayed for a week at the Beach Club and couldn’t recommend it more! All staff were amazing and went above and beyond to make sure our experience was great. Special shout out to Kinny, he was so wonderful and had a personal touch with the guests that felt very genuine, both myself and my partner absolutely loved our interactions with him! Food was also great, kitchen and staff catered to gluten free very well and there was plenty to eat. The included breakfast was also delicious. The rooms were recently renovated and felt modern and clean, the view is unbeatable as well. Would definitely stay again on our next trip to Hamilton Island

Pitched as an upscale version of the Hamilton Island hotels in a beachside location. Hmm. Pros - nice pool and lounge area, good access to the beach, quality sun loungers, clean pool, modern room with private balcony area and good sized fridge. Decent Nespresso machine. Cons - beach club restaurant food is very limited. We were there for 6 nights and the menu was exactly the same every night, which was an issue as it was very average quality. If you are a foodie and like nice restaurants you will be disappointed. - service a little chaotic, friendly enough but patchy, with no-one apparently in charge or managing things effectively. - other restaurant options on the island are very poor (we tried Romanos, Manta Ray and the takeaway pizza place. All were equally terrible. -noisy aircon in the room. It’s clear the whole operation is run by an accountant and with a captive audience the restaurants seem to have no need to compete with each other. We booked through a major UK travel agent and will be telling them what we think. Noticeably on checkout no-one asked how our stay was- I expect they have stopped asking.

We stayed 6 nights at The Beach Club as part of the penultimate leg of our Australian tour. We had a superb view from our patio ( see pic ). We had various activities planned e.g. lunch at the Golf Club, Reef snorkelling excursion, catamaran sailing ( included with the room) ,hired a buggy, and did the All Terrain Vehicle drive!. There was significant refurbishment going on during our stay but we had been informed about this prearrival and made the decision to still stay but it didn't really disrupt us too much .Beach Club provides an on demand pick up and drop back service which we found so useful. The breakfast was a la carte and of a high quality . All tea/coffee and water all included throughout the stay . The front desk staff were all very friendly and so helpful and are a credit to the beach Club. The only area for improvement would be for the room cleaning to be a bit more thorough . Would recommend The Beach Club and would certainly stay again.

Breathtaking views from the rooms, restaurant patio, and infinity pool. The staff were all amazing…professional but friendly and very service oriented. The food from breakfast to dinner was expertly prepared.

The bathtub drain was a bit problematic and there was construction ongoing. However,the resort gave us advance notice of the building renovation and were generous in providing some compensation in the form of credits.
