Beach Club

The Beach Club is perfectly situated adjacent to Catseye Beach and it was a mere stroll to the beach, the pool and the restaurant. Only complaints are that housekeeping needs to improve - our room didn’t get cleaned until well after 2pm and the terrace wasn’t swept of leaves and debris until I complained on our 6th day. The other drawback was that there are only 8 double loungers around the pool and we had to resort to bagging one early (my husband had mobility issues and the loungers on the beach were exposed to strong winds during our stay). Most of the staff were kind and helpful - Hamish gets a special mention. Food was good and the “chauffeur” service excellent.

We stayed at the Beach Club for 9 days and enjoyed every moment. The food either breakfast or dinner was of a high quality and the accomodation was very comfortable. The staff were throughout the resort were all very friendly.

Two times when it was very busy at breakfast we experienced being taken to our table, provided with a glass of water only to be forgotten by the waiters to take our breakfast order.

The setting is stunning and felt very South Pacific. The hotel is fabulous with excellent rooms and wonderful views. The arrival experience starts you off just right with the bus waiting for you and the fact they collect your luggage so you walk off the plane and get straight to the hotel in a few minutes! Perfect! Lots of complementary inclusions in particular the transport service on demand. The breakfast was a small menu but excellent quality. We had dinner on one occasion and it was excellent. Unfortunately the menu was a bit restrictive for us so ate out the rest of the time. The only niggle for us was the turndown service which for us occurred around 5-5.30 and usually when we were getting ready for dinner. If you put the do not disturb sign out they don’t come back so only had it on one occasion and that was when we were out on a trip so hadn’t touched the room since morning service. Would have been good to have a prearranged time. Otherwise we loved it and would return in a heartbeat and really didn’t want to leave!

The staff were very friendly and amazing. Room was well appointed and clean. Restaurant food was delicious.

An incredible 4 night stay! The staff are extremely helpful and informative, and the rooms and property are exactly as pictured. We have stayed at both luxury and eco resorts throughout the US, Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, and Africa, and the Beach Club is a perfect blend of refinement and Nature. Several complimentary amenities are included that are not listed anywhere: barista coffees and soft drinks all day, beach and pool service, stocked mini-fridge in rooms, sunscreen and bug spray, beach bag and water bottles. Additionally, the point-to-point chauffeur service is immediately available when desired. The island overall is gorgeous and peaceful. Take a cruise or helicopter ride to truly appreciate the beauty of the Whitsundays and the Reef. The only slight niggle is questions asked via email prior to arrival often went unanswered. However, everything was explained clearly at orientation. Also, several reviews stated prices are too high for what you get, but we found them to be comparable to other island destinations. If ever in Australia again, we would definitely return.

This was our second stay at the Beach Club, and it was great to see some familiar faces. Luke at the front desk and Elena, the GM, who made us feel very welcome. The new seafood dinner experience on the beach was a highlight, fresh, relaxed, and perfectly done. The service was friendly, and the whole stay felt easy and personal. We’re already looking forward to coming back.
