Due to a change in train departure we arri c ed a day later than expected. A 40 dollar fee was charged to change our booking. We also paid more for the room we had booked . We made our booking well in advance.

"Longreach Motor Inn - Not what it is advertised to be!"

Longreach is a major service centre for north central Queensland. The town is also an important stopping point for travellers driving in all directions. The accommodation we experienced was second rate. We had booked a Standard Queen Room and paid $197 for that room. However when we were allocated a room we were provided with a small double room at looked really tired and probably had facilities that reflected 1970's rooms - this was a disappointing stay. Reception was uninterested in ensuring we had a stay that would mean we would choose to return. We wont!
