Aruba Sands Resort

Location close to shopping was ideal for us as we are 90 & 86 respectively. Unit facilities good apart from bed ( see below). We especially likes the facilities for washing clothes, machines very efficient and quick)

The bed was very low, with the mattress base only 20cms high, and mattress on top made bed very low and difficult to get in and out of bed for people our age (90 & 86 yo) Also mattress very hard and uncomfortable. Many nights of broken sleep.

Check the height of your 4wd the undercover parking is 2.050 Mt. If you can't squeeze in parking is a little hard to find

The location is fab and the staff were very accommodating.

Unit 22 desperately needs a total refurbishment, to include all internal furnishings, with the exception of the washer, drier and fridge. A decent stove needs to be installed on all units. The antiquated ovens still in some units are not only inefficient, but also present a health and safety risk. The on balcony plastic chairs need replacing every 3-5 years because they perish. One literally exploded into several pieces when my husband sat on it cutting his arm.; he is on blood thinners, and this could have ended very badly for him. The remaining chair has a big split across the back of the seat, guaranteed to end badly when the next guest uses it. We were told there were no replacement balcony chairs. The COMPLEX management should always have chairs, for the balconies, spare. They are cheap and mitigate the risk to visitors using them.

It was what I expected. It was very quiet and private.

The shower had to be pointed towards the wall, otherwise the bathroom would be flooded. The shower was over the bath and the shower screen was too short.
