Kauai Palms Hotel

Great Location, Great Stff, great cat!

Loved the charm and character of the hotel.it was locally owned and managed and we had the opportunity to learn about Kuaui history through the stories and artifacts of the manager. That was an unexpexted enhancement of our experience! Hotel was very clean, offered great morning coffee, and had well cared for and lovely foliage gardens.

The hotel was a little off the beaten path but easily accessible to several good restaurants.

Location

Very noisy in the early mornings. Also sitting area had very uncomfortable furniture.

I liked how close the hotel is to the the airport and to the best local food restaurants. Staff was friendly and the room was clean. Management tried to fix the issue by giving us options, 10% discount if we stayed in the same room, moving to a different room but no discount or checking out and refunding price of remaining nights.

I did not like that the our original room was upstairs and that there is no elevator for the heavy travel bags. Rooms are very small and outdated. Cockroaches🪳in walls, kitchenette and shower. Full size bed that can barely fit two people. Informed management of cockroaches and was upgraded to a cottage room down stairs, unfortunately that room also had cockroaches. Management said they were aware of the problem and that they had sprayed insecticide but that the cockroach problem still persists.

Les lits à ressort, nous sentons les ressorts en dormant, mais la chose que j’ai le moins apprécié, ce sont les murs qui sont très fin, on entend les voisins. Il n’y a pas de fenêtres ce sont des stores en verre qu’on peut ouvrir ou fermer, avec une moustiquaire. Le problème, des gens ou du personnel se mettent tôt le matin sur les chaises disponible devant la chambre pour discuter et on entend tout. Le balais ou les gens qui parlent comme les ouvriers ou même les portes des voiture du parking. Nous avons l’impression que tout est dans la chambre avec nous.
