Cresta Lodge - Harare

Over all it was good. Restaurant was average. Facilities and surrounds were very well kept and staff were helpful. All this making Cresta Lodge a pleasant place to stay.

Overall the hotel is a very high standard. The standard room I was given was rather small but completely comfortable. The staff were very friendly. The corridors are long and in usual hotels there would be a 4th or 5th floor for the amount of rooms. The grounds were beautiful and the taxi service was very reasonably priced and ran 24/7 I believe. Overall no issues staying here again if I were to return to Harare.

If you’re expecting friendly staff then forget this place. They generally look moody, no smiles and don’t acknowledge guests (except for the night shift gate man - he’s got a heart of gold, very enthusiastic and makes an effort to put a smile on your face each time he encounters you). I had to greet the staff - how ridiculous is that. The lady at the restaurant making your eggs frowns ALWAYS. Doesn’t acknowledge when a customer makes their order. I felt as though the hotel staff thought they were doing me a favour in providing the service I paid for. In short the property is ok, nothing special but the staff makes it worse. Not returning ever.

It was like an Oasis in the midst of a barren land. Great property.

Great hotel, awsome rooms, the only problem is due to the economy that make it hard to pay with credit cards and need low cash bills in order to pay for stuff

Poor service, not much channels in TV, A/C heating not working. poor service attitude. They never pick up the phone in room service and housekeeping. Food options are very very limited (none for vegetarians)
