Cresta Lodge - Harare

The hotel is comfortable, rooms are adequate. Chatters Bar extremely noisy, and service very poor. The restaurant did not have any meat available to serve as presented on the ale carte menu. The options left, was chicken, the buffet did not look appetizing at all, dishes empty, staff helping themselves prior to all guests having a meal. All in all the Chatters experience was very poor, for the rest of the establishment, it was adequate.

Was not happy being woken up early by housekeeping who were not very friendly, Had to call reception a couple of times as I had no hot water, the soap holder in the shower hang precariously on the wall. The room itself was cosy and comfy was kept clean.Apart from housekeeping the rest of the staff were friendly

Good hotel if I was to criticise it would be their facilty to pay a deposit in order to place orders on your room. Reason given was too many guests leave with no payment. A suggestion would be to give customers the option to pay a deposit of their choice during booking which will be pre authorised.

Cons: The service at the Cool Beans restaurant. Beer was quite warm most of the time and I overheard another customer shouting at the bartender for not getting his food on time. Pros: We had a very nice time at Cresta Lodge. I could not ask for any better service all in all. Very beautiful rooms and gardens. Got a room upgrade for no extra charge. Courteous hotel and cleaning staff. good food and helpful staff at the main restaurant. awesome security guys at the main gate.

It was my fourth visit to Cresta Lodge Hotel. The weather was lovely, sunny and sometimes hot. It rained on some days, but the kind that disappears after a few minutes. Initially, I was placed in a room where the shower was not the best (walk in shower). The ceiling was mouldy and the floor not the greatest. However, the next day I was moved to a better room, which was encouraging. However, I think some staff members - housekeeping, should be trained on customer needs. If a customer has checked-in and is staying for two weeks on holiday, it would be good not to talk and laugh outside their room at 7am in the morning. If you are cleaning the opposite room, best to go into that room and talk there.

Staff attitude , not so good. Not as expected after I had awesome service at the Kingdom in Vic falls

Limited buffet selection but all food of a high quality. Food to suite all tastes. excellent compared to any other hotel in Harare.Bedroom and facilities in room comparable to European upmarket hotels.

Lovely hotel in Harare, pretty, well maintained grounds, lovely modern room. Restaurant and cafe on site and the food was delicious. Staff were friendly and accommodating. My only complaint was some of my showers were luke warm. Otherwise highly recommended.

It was generally a good experience. The room was quite comfortable and clean.
