Nowhere on their website or in any of the documents provided on arrival did it state I would have to pay $350 cash deposit. They would not accept a credit card for the deposit. None of the other guests were asked for a $350 cash deposit. They were arbitrarily applying this to me. So I asked to cancel the booking. I cancelled through booking.com and lost most of my money. They charged me a $76 cancellation fee. I received a refund of $12 and something cents. This was the worst experience of my life, and I will be filing a complaint with the consumer protection board.

I would say just the location.

Based on my experience, there was a clear lack of coordination between the booking platform and the hotel staff. During check-in, they were unsure of my arrival, and after I checked out early, I continued to receive incorrect automated messages, including welcome and checkout notifications with the wrong dates. Overall, communication and customer management were poor, and responses were slow. Upon arrival, the entrance code provided in the check-in instructions did not work, and I had to wait outside for about 10 minutes before being able to enter the building. The room had a very strong odor similar to a public bathroom, which made it difficult to breathe. I have asthma and experienced breathing issues during the first night. This was the main reason I checked out early and requested a refund, as I could not continue my stay. In terms of safety, the room felt very insecure. Although a digital lock was advertised, there was a visible gap between the door and the frame, allowing hallway light to come through, and the door appeared easy to force open. The window facing a small balcony also did not have a proper lock, which made it possible for someone outside to access the room. I did not feel safe staying there. Lastly, the photos shown on the booking platform are misleading and do not accurately reflect the actual condition of the room or the hotel.
