Great floor plan and amenities.

We stayed 6 nights. Our only complaint is that we had to ask for fresh bathroom linens.

Dirty rooms and rude staff. The countertops did not looked like they were ripped down and the room had weird smell. When I went down to the lobby to get some information, the front desk was very rude and dismissive. They were complaining about their new partnership with Carowinds. Business trip guys treating the lobby like a frat part. Not family friendly.

The representative, who assisted with my check in was exceptional – prompt, friendly, and helpful. She was very efficient with the check in process. The main issue that I had was that housekeeping did not empty the kitchen trashcan, so it was full from the previous guest. I can understand that oversights happen once in awhile, so this didn’t make or break my stay, but it is always nice when details like this are not missed! Overall, the property has a bit of age on it, though was very convenient. Finally, it’s always appreciated when breakfast is included!

I booked with this hotel because the website indicated there was an indoor pool- but the pool wasn’t available, if we had known we would have picked a different hotel.

We were traveling back home from a vacation and decided to break up the trip. We really enjoyed the hotel. The pool was under maintenance, but we were given permission to swim at their sister hotel. The morning breakfast was very solid and well stocked.

The hotel is right off the interstate, and was perfect for our road trip. We didn’t arrive until almost 11 p.m., but the front desk staff was still very fresh and accommodating, thanking us for being Platinum members. We requested extra pillows through the Chat service on their app prior to arrival, and that was accommodated. Thank you! We left at 9 the next morning, so no time to use the facilities. We saw a meeting/work/quiet room, as well as a theatre/family room. We are not familiar with TownePlace, so we’re quite impressed. Breakfast was simple but more than enough with hot and cold options. Bananas and apples were individually Saran wrapped, and we really appreciated that for hygiene reasons. Thank you! The room is spacious. The only not-good thing was when we opened a kitchen cupboard to get drinking glasses, we saw a dirty, clearly unwashed plate on the stack. It could have been put there by a previous guest, so no blame on the hotel here. But, like any other hotels, wash the glasses yourselves before you use them.

The hotel clearly needs a renovation. Carpets seem old and dirty, all doors are "requesting " some painting urgently. Staff is friendly, but I was expecting more from a Marriott hotel. After a 12-hour driving all day, I unpacked my luggage and went to take a shower to discover the bathtub was clogged. I was so tired I couldn't even complain and ask for another room. In summary, it needs maintenance all over the place. For sure I won't return.
