Holiday Inn Milwaukee Riverfront by IHG

Great desk staff - just ok hotel. The rooms are old and worn out. The bathtub was pealing, the mirror cracked, the AC unit was missing pieces. The breakfast is pricey and the waiter struggled with English, but very nice. The hotel could be nice just needs an update if you’re charging the prices you are.

Lady at the front desk was probably one of the nicest people i’ve met, had a great attitude and went above and beyond to make sure i was comfortable!

Our room had to lights burnt out. The main one when you walked in and the light next to the bed. The refridgerator did not work. it was 10:30pm when we checked in after a long day of playing baseball in the 100 degree heat. I went to the front desk and the lady advised there was no maintenence on right now and that if we would like to switch rooms. We were originally on the 5th floor and now we are moving to the 1st floor. We stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and was very impressed at that time. This time around the service was poor and the rooms need a good scrub down. Breakfast was horrible. Saturday's breakfast time is 6:00-10:00. We went to breakfst at 9:00 and everything from the eggs, bacon/sausage and biscuits and gravey were ice cold. The breakfast staff were sitting around the closed bar area on their phones. The canisters to keep the food warm were all burnt out. The only hot item that was good was my toasted bagel. A positive comment: The morning of breakfast, a man who was the general manager came around the breakfast tables and asked how everything was going with our stay. I politely told him what had happened and also mentioned the breakfast was cold. He apologized and said he was going to see what he could do for us. He came back and said he could take some money off our stay. He was apologetic and a really nice man. We appreciated him.

The room was very nice and clean. Thank you for the Dove soaps and body wash. Nice touch. Comfortable beds.

Not enough outlets in the room. And not enough strong light in the bathroom. My wife and daughter had trouble doing makeup. Had to do it by the window. Also I'm not sure why the breakfast was 16 per person. But I looked at it and it definitely isn't worth that much. I have seen breakfast like this and more as a continental, complementary breakfast at other places. I had to go get breakfast for my family and bring it back to the hotel. Other than that great place to stay. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!

I was comfortable after I cleaned room myself the only thing I was good with was the stale corn chip smell in the room no matter how much I sprayed Lysol and BBW room spray

Great Location and comfy beds

Nice bedding, tv. Pool area dirty, no towels, mildew buildup in the hot tub. Restaurant permanently closed, no shuttle service, the van was rusted out and had an expired license plate. Front desk personnel not at all cordial. Nothing near the hotel to do, restaurants > 1.5 miles away.
