The owners were very accommodating and welcoming. The atmosphere was relaxed and nicely decorated for the Christmas season. Will definitely stay there again

We had a wonderful stay. Marge and Melissa were very nice. The B&B is close to the downtown and they have a convenient walking path right next door to travel by foot in and out. Marge was very gracious to keep adjusting our dates of stay due to the hurricanes. I loved the Victorian feel of the home.

The property is located near everything. Great restaurants, Renningers Antiques and downtown Mt Dora.

The room was very cold in the evenings and the folks that rented upstairs were very loud when getting ready in the mornings. It is advertised as bed and breakfast. We were expecting a breakfast like was pictured on the website. It was not abundant nor tasty, they just threw together scrambled eggs mixed with boiled eggs. Looked like they didn’t have enough food to put out.

Our first time at a B&B and we are so glad it was at Heron Cay. Such a beautiful, quaint home. Margie, is the sweetest and a good cook. We look forward to returning and staying longer. Thank you to Melissa for the recipes, I will add to my own.

The landscaping is beautiful. The home is very cozy. The breakfast is amazing she does quite the spread! The home owner is very sweet and kind. You have your own little fridge. The decorations were beautiful and took you back in time with the furniture. I left my toiletries and she was kind enough to ship them to me.

Thought there was a hot tub. It is not. Bed was horribly uncomfortable. She does keep her animals up but my allergies still bugged me so bring allergy medicine. The trees are in front of the lake so no real lake view.

Great Bread & Breakfast. Beautiful grounds and Inn with Victorian furnishings. The rooms were well-appointed, and I especially liked the Tiffany lamps. Family-owned who were very friendly and helpful and considerate. Historic Mount Dora was a short walk away. I plan a return trip.
