Sinclairs Darjeeling

They don't take care of client's safety..They don't provide proper things like proper almirah, hairdryer in washroom. Gushing water through the glass closed windows . Room was flooding after a hail srom which is very common at Darjeeling. That id very very disappointing.

The uphill climb - we were not aware of a shuttle. Would have been good if there was a comm from the hotel.

Good location and quiet place. The heritage decor. All staff are very friendly and helpful. Good food and was prepared according to my needs.

The steep and narrow approach road. 30 steps to climb up to the Reception and no lift since it’s an old building. Very few hotels have lift in Darjeeling

Everything about the hotel was wonderful, cleanliness, exceptional staff always helpful. The day we were supposed to leave there was marathon scheduled so all roads were closed for traffic so we had to walk to the railway station , the staff from the hotel carried our luggage to the railway station . The food was awesome.

The drawbacks of the hotel is , it is built on a steep hill and the hotel does not have elevator. Every day to go out lot of stairs to climb up and down though there was a shuttle service to take us down the hilly road to the main street but the service time of the shuttle is from 8:00am to 9:00 pm so guest have to be back at the end of the street by 8:00 pm otherwise walk up the steep slope which is hard for seniors like us. The hot water line also doesn’t work properly all the time . As it is very old hotel it needs a lot of upgrades and maintenance.

The Wifi connection didn’t work for a single minute and I had to skip an important meeting
