Belum Rainforest Resort

I love the concept of the resort. I love how they did the modern touch combined with nature, it is just perfect! However, the condition of the room not so good. Well let say, they not maintain it so well. I booked Chengal room number 1006. The room was very nice but some of the light is not working which make the room so dark even during day time. Hope the hotel management will take a look at that. Overall it was okay, I love it! Looking forward to stay here again next time. Recommended to people who love to be surround by nature and get away from busy life in the city. Cheers!

the pool need cleaning

I love the location, view especially from the roof top. Staf are friendly as well. Food r well prepared.

We stayed in the Chengal room with outdoor bathtub. The room is spacious with fridge, TV, fan, aircond, shower, toiletries (no toothbrush was given but you could request for it). As expected, there are a lot of insects & mosquito but no repellent was provided inside the room. There is a rooftop space at the top of our room (located on ground level). The view on the rooftop is simply breathtaking. One can just chill & relax there which is very enlightening. There are two restaurants & a bar in the resort where you can take your breakfast/lunch/dinner/drink. The resorts offer various activities & tours (payable) unfortunately we did not participate as we were only there for a night. The only drawback from this trip was the issue with the bathtub in our room. The water is unable to fill up the tub as the bathtub stopper is spoilt. I called the reception to inform them of this matter & was told that they will send a technician over to my room. However after half an hour, the technician is yet to turn up. I called the reception again to enquiry about the technician but was told to wait but refused to tell me how long will it take. At this point, I was unhappy & tried to get an explanation why the delay. Guess what? The reception ended the phone just like that! I tried calling a few times again but nobody is picking up. After the fifth time, the reception finally picked up & said that the technician is on the way. I asked him if he ended the call earlier & he admitted it.

Hotel room is clean and well maintain. The room is big. Nice place to relax and enjoy the nature ....

The room is clean, the food serve by hornbill restaurant is also exceed expectations but the surrounding is not maintaining well, some walkway like no one sweeping for long and rubbish around. Disappointed with the swimming pool too, don’t think anyone dare to swim there :(.

No sense of urgency by the hotel technician to follow up and rectify the hot water heater not functioning until we check out from the hotel resort. The receptionist had ireminded the technician for several times.

Worth the price for deluxe room with balcony and lake view... really enjoyed the stay there... the room was very clean and was provided with many things. They even provide you with shaving kits. I liked the view and it’s definitely a peaceful stay. Food was good as well. Staffs were very pleasant and polite.

The resort is relaxing and comfortable.. staff were super friendly and gave us great suggestions on the tour plans..room was simple, but sufficient for us.. it’s definitely an unforgettable experience..

This is a wonderful hotel. Very eco friendly. Great sunset from your infinity pool lounger. Really enjoyed renting a bamboo raft on the lake, great fun. No TV in the room so spent the evening at Desmond's bar. He is a great guy with lots of stories and good travelling advice. Will definitely return to this wonderful hotel to enjoy this part of our lovely planet.
