Moonlight Bay Resort

The photos did not do this place justice at all! The resort in general and the rooms especially are much nicer than the photos. The rooms were clean, modern and spacious. The Thai food was delicious and authentic, and so was the western food and the drinks. The staff are friendly and really helpful. I will definitely be going back again.

Loved hill top cottage food good clean some staff were lovely some weren’t moonbar staff rude switched lights off 10-40pm & left them off couldn’t see to walk away no drink on arrival & no cake as promised for our friends birthday left us 2 hours until our rooms were ready as we’d arrived at 12am

We had a perfect vacation with this hotel as a base. Swimming from the beach is possible during higher tides. The different high levels makes the views better but may be a challange if you are not walking well or is a small kid. The food is excelent, both morning and dinner. The moonlight bar is beautifully located and really romantic, but due to a really high price level, no guests are visiting that area. Please note when booking that sea view rooms are the second row from the beach and the room numbers start with 2. If you want the first row the rooms are Beach front and the numbers starts with 1. We staied at sea view and it was really good privacy up the hill with great view, but with 68 steps to the beach and restaurant/pool area

We had a wonderful 5 nights here. We booked the beachfront villas which were well worth the money. The view was incredible, also lovely to have a jacuzzi on your balcony to relax in privacy of your own room, however its a shame its only cold water. Staff were generally always friendly and helpful. My only suggestion would be to have friendlier / staff with better English in the moonlight bar. This is a fantastic space but unfortunately was always quiet and just lacked some enthusiasm to get the guests to drink and attend this area. The area itself is very quiet, a little bit of a walk to some local eats which is fine. Otherwise suggest hiring a scooter during your time to get about easily. Hotel restaurant was fairly well priced for food and drinks and lovely quality. Ocean is lovely to swim in with fairly easy access. the resort pool itself is freezing - no one actually used it except for the random child here and there. All in all would definitely recommend for those wanting to simply relax!

Friendly staff - nice pool area and rooms are very modern

We visited Moonlight resort mid September on our honeymoon and would highly recommend staying here. We extended our stay as we liked the accommodations so much. We have been in Thailand for a month and our dinner at the Moonlight restaurant was the best meal of our entire vacation. I would recommend spending the extra money to get a villa overlooking the ocean. Renting a motor bike from the hotel was super easy and it has been so fun exploring the island.

Lovely place, with very friendly and helpful staff, highly recommend. If you are notbas fit as you used to be, then ask for a chalet lower to the ground. Great breakfast with homemade bread and jam. The chef here loves to cook.

The property has an amazing location! The staff is super friendly and accommodating to what you want to do. Helped booked motorcycle, our ferry off the island. The beach bungalow has an amazing view. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved the beachfront aspect of this place and the sound of the waves.
