Idyllic Concept Resort

Very nice hotel, staff were also really nice and friendly. Room was fairly basic but clean and tidy, floor seemed a little grubby though. Overall very nice, however I feel a bit over priced for what it is

Disappointed and quite shocked at the Idyllic to be honest, especially given its absurd price point. We booked a junior suite to celebrate our engagement which we tried to flag to staff, but they didn't notice nor listen. Was told we had to wait till the 2pm check-in time for our room, which is fair enough, but once 2pm hit our room still wasn't ready. There is no safe room for luggage so people's belongings are literally spread across the main lobby until rooms are ready. Room was nice, but was still slightly unclean with smudges on windows and a stain on the couch. Albeit the room was lovely, just a little dated and required a refresh - especially at almost £300 per night. Can't fault the beach-front staff and the view - make the most amazing frappes at the Starbucks there. Room service and menu was really nice too. Would recommend avoiding this hotel and spending your money elsewhere - simply not worth it!

We stayed 6 nights in a twin room with pool view. It was pricier than usual because it was the only room available on the island when we booked at last minute from 1/1/25. Our experience was a little bit different to the fantastic reviews and I'm not entirely sure if this was because the hotel was our first experience of Thailand standards or if it was a disconnect between the hotel initial impressions and the reality - it was all just a bit skin deep. For us the hotel looked beautiful, presented as clean and had friendly staff but it was only at a surface level. The entrance to our room faced the rear of the hotel, away from the middle pool and had lots of rubbish stored there. The mirrors and the room generally was surface clean but mirrors and surfaces were smeared. The water in the shower had a scum and smell, which made showering unpleasant. In addition the staff walked really smelly rubbish bags through the hotel restaurant and a housekeeper threw mop bucket water out on the reception plants - the standards of cleanliness didn't really match the hotel price point.The staff were polite but lacked warmth and their friendliness lacked genuine hospitality. However, the beach was stunning and the location just perfect. We really enjoyed our stay but it was more because we loved Koh Lipe's beaches and water. We would return to Koh Lipe but would probably choose another hotel. We went to the Zodiac Bar and would probably choose their beach accommodation next time.

Superb in every way

The jacuzzi suite is by far the best . Stayed 2 times and the the 3rd time I managed to book a newly renovated room just above the reception on the 3rd floor. Room was nice but the stairs….to breakfast and back was torturing. Too many steps . Always book the chalet on the beach.

We stayed for 5 nights, with our 10 year old son and a family of friends. We all agree, it’s the best place that we have ever stayed. The setting on the beach is beautiful. The food in the hotel is fantastic and not expensive by western standards. There are also Plenty of options outside the hotel to eat etc. Koh Lipe walking street is a short tuk tuk ride away from the hotel. Getting there, The speedboat connection from Pakbara pier takes 90mins. We stayed in Hat Yai for one night, which is the airport we flew into from Chiang Mai. It was a busy city, and we don’t regret our evening there. We woke up early the next morning, and took a taxi at 7am which got us to the pier in plenty of time to catch the 9.30am speedboat to Koh Lipe. On reflection, we would stay in Pakbara as there are a few hotel options, giving us the chance to take a leisurely breakfast, getting the 1 hour 30 minute taxi ride out of the way the evening we land. In our opinion, the early speed boat is the better option, as we arrived in Koh Lipe at 11am so as to enjoy pretty much all of the day. The boat drops on Pattaya beach. The hotel send a tuk tuk to collect guests and baggage on arrival. We booked a pool view junior suite. It was plenty spacious for the 3 of us We absolutely loved our stay here We will be returning to spend next Christmas here We didn’t want to leave. We took a 3 hour speed boat direct from Lipe to Koh Lanta Breakfast 5* Staff 5* Room 5*

Small beach with lots of garbage. Area around hotel is very dirty with garbage. Lots of construction. Too many steps. Property is narrow. Crowded beach. Corals are dead. Lame breakfast.

We spent hours looking for a hotel in Koh Lipe. We didn’t go wrong with our choice. During our time, we saw many other hotels on the island and this was by far the best. Don’t hesitate to book if you’re looking for great amenities, friendly staff, and a prime location.

Second time staying in the jacuzzi suite. Spacious, clean and bright. the only problems is the water pressure, to fill up the jacuzzi takes hours and lack of hot water.

Really good breakfast specially fresh fruits  and hot food. Exotic and cool beach bar. The hotel's side of the beach has less noisy boats than the rest of the beach. The staff is very friendly and hard working. Don't leave  this hotel without trying these 2 deserts: fried bananas and Mango sticky rice!!! - No bins provided to be able to pick up and throw all the plastic found in the sea and the beach. We want to contribute to keep the beach clean but nowhere to trow the trash. - Full body mirror in the bedroom would be appreciated. - There is a very dangerous step at the top of the middle stairs from the middle pool. It was there 8 years ago too!!! We wonder how many trips and accidents must have taken place in that's spot. This was my 2nd time in this hotel and I will be back
