Yeats Country Hotel, Spa & Leisure Club

Nice quiet location. They're working on renovation so soon it will look cleaner. Builders are doing poor job though so it looks cheap. Unfortunately the house keeping is poor, we were the for 4 nights and our room hasn't been hovered nor the bathroom was cleaned. We kept asking for extra towels as they are very small but never got them. The towels we had were old and stained. The hotel smells like old fish, especially during dinner time. Sauna and jacuzzi didn't work, steam room smelled like mould. The lockers at the pool were the filthiest we've ever seen.

Go for the kids club alone! They’ll collect them for breakfast and it runs until 10.30pm!

I loved this place and its facilities. The only down was WiFi not being available to use in my room- to keep up with family and planning my trips out the next day. Saying that I did enjoy the bar area where I enjoyed good food and passing hospitality- nothing was too much trouble to make me feel at home. I used the spa and very much enjoyed the seaweed bath and a relaxing neck, back and shoulder massage. Also used the swimming pool- most days it is used for swimming lessons- but a lane was available for hotel customers- so did my laps to keep me fit!! And engulfed in the jacuzzi bath. The open fire in the bar area was a pleasure to see- maybe a bit hot for me to sit at but very pleasant. There was also plenty of parking just outside. My room had a good view out over Rosses Point and I could keep a good eye on the weather.

Very disappointing and not what I was expecting first impressions count, clearly the hotel staff didn’t think so ! The hotel was dated and looked like it needed a good scrub. The housekeeping staff left all the dirty bedding/towels and their carts outside the room we were staying in and the mattress definitely needed replacing. Would not stay here again especially given the location of the hotel

The room was average size and clean. Breakfast wasn’t included so we paid extra for it which was served to 10.30am. We had been at a wedding so came down about 10.00am there was no fresh fruit left, we had to ask for tea service was quite poor. I cannot comment on the Spa as I didn’t use it.

Hotel was grand but the bar food wasn't. Breakfast was fine.
