Comfortable and peaceful time , staff very helpful and friendly

Stayed for 2 nights with a friend.. we were doing the Sligo Camino trek with an early start on Saturday. We enquired about spa treatments for the Saturday evening/Sunday for our weary muscles and were totally discouraged by a disgruntled receptionist. On Saturday morning there was no hot water whatsoever for a shower/wash and continental breakfast was just chopped fruit, cereal, tea and toast....no variety of bread, cheeses, hams etc. When we returned from a very long trek, echausted, I was totally ignored at the bar while waiting for a drink. I stood what felt like 10 minutes. Those eating seemed to get preference with only one till working so a queue of what staff there were to use it. The "specials' were the same as the night before for bar food with a few missing. Sunday breakfast was sadly lacking in something also. No beans or mushrooms or soda or potatoe bread and scrambled egg unless you asked for different. Overall there were only 3 members of staff who smiled and were helpful. Saving grace? Lovely jaccussi and swim on Sunday morning. Nice hotel shame about the staff.....and lack of. Pity really.

Lovely hotel with great staff. Perfectly situated for exploring Yeats Country and Lissadell House also very close. Always felt good coming back to hotel in evening for food and lovely walk around the headland. Really enjoyed our stay and hope to return again..

Hotel was in complete refurbishment so could not get to pool through building and when there was a storm going this was needed. Staff were friendly but the prosseco requested for our room needed a corkscrew making it pointless taking it to the room.

Hotel being refurbished so some areas look a bit scruffy. Rooms look old fashioned, but are spacious with good beds and bathrooms.

Horrible rooms, wifi went down after 10pm and never came back on, the bathroom was dark and cave like, front desk never answered the phone and we called multiple times, food was some of the worst in the country. I would not recommend this place.

Nice updated rooms. Great location in a wonderful spot.

Kids enjoy the pool and food was lovely very helpful stuff and there was a kids club on good for them too . All had good nite sleep . Had lovely hot bath was so relaxing ..... would stay here again xx
