Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel & Spa

The experience was fantastic, the location of the property is just fab and everything was maintained so well. The staff behaviour was very decent and helpful, wish we could stay here for some more time. A must visit place in Kovalam. Got attended by Naseem and he was too sweet and polite.

Yeah so this is very beautiful property and its campus is also huge and according to me it’s very happily place and services are so good. So all this beautiful experience guided by Naseem so he is also a great person.

The location is just near the beach…hotel have also the private beach area….rooms are decent…..value 4 money hotel….service of hotel is also good….noise level is so good….also very clean hotel… Mr Naseem guide us very gently….

Facility nice

This resort advertises themselves as being 5-star. It is really more a 2 or 3 star at the most. Firstly we were welcomed to cockroaches in the room and bathroom. Secondly, the dining and food is very mediocre. Coffee machine broke and off for breakfast. The general cleanliness was questionable. The air conditioners in the rooms could barely keep up. We had puddles in the room floors from constant condensation. The pool areas were very mediocre and not particularly clean. The resort advertises having a spa - they had a steam room and gym but the entire area smelt like the toilet. There was one common sauna in the men’s area that also did not smell ok. The ambience of the spa was so far from being a spa - it felt like a serious joke. We actually left after one night even though we had booked for 6 and moved to the Hyatt in Trivandrum. We could not see ourselves spending another day here. Another thing is that the pictures online show a real Beach - there was no real beach. They claimed the tides were high but in the 20 hrs we were there, the tides never went back. Whatever area of the beach one could access was littered with garbage. If you want a 5 star experience go for a brand like taj, leela or Hyatt. Our lesson was not never trust the 5 stars if it is not a brand. Resorts seem to be able to really lie an out their stars. We felt utterly cheated after paying 2000 euros. The manager promised a 50 percentage refund and we never got that either. So not only was the resort bad, they also cheated on us by lying about the refund.

The property is a must visit with amazing hospitality. We had a great experience through out our stay and the food was quite delicious. We were given a very warm welcome and a property tour by Mr. Naseem khan. Highly recommended visit in kovalam.
