St. Regis Deer Valley

I stayed at The St. Regis Deer Valley in August. It was a great experience, beautul hotel setting. The staff could not have been nicer, and we even had wonderful dog amenities for our ppet that joined us. The food and beverage was delcious and really all of the amenities like the pool,, gym and spa were top notch. They have done a remarkable job fusing the upper level of the hotel with the motor lobby entrane and creating a motorized tram to tie toether both entrances. Really genius!

We were upgraded upon arrival and the entire stay was perfect. Quiet rooms, spa and pool experiences were perfect. Beautiful views and shuttle to Park City was so convenient.

I am not sure there is any opportunity for improvement at this property. Everything, and I mean everything is on point. Location is scenic and beautiful. Rooms are big and well appointed. Grounds are well maintained and architectures. Work out facility - had everything including Pelotons. Service is quiet and understated but very good. Like I said - nothing but highest marks.

Stayed here a handful of times in the last several years. It is the sister property to the St. Regis in Aspen. Neither hotel is run very well unfortunately. The standards of customer service for the St. Regis brand have dropped drastically since Marriott acquired St. Regis back in 2016. What Marriott seems to be very good at is marketing. "An exquisite stay awaits..." they promise you in the welcome email. But when you get there, you realize quickly you've been duped by the corporate monster. And you're really just at a glorified Marriott. I will say, I love the property and facilities here. It was beautifully and thoughtfully built. Great location. The lobby is warm and inviting. Each guest room has an entry area for hanging jackets and storing boots and shoes. The bathrooms are well appointed and luxurious. The actual rooms themselves are average-sized, not big or small but so quiet. I can never hear my neighbors, which is gold. Great room service food... However, the service at this property is not up to the standards for the prices they charge and the experience they promise. I've had some warm and special interactions with the people on the room service line and in the ski valet room. I've also had some cold and dismissive interactions with managers at the front desk. There is some condescension coming from some of them that should not be the standard. I will never forget a misunderstanding I had with the front desk. They informed me upon check-in that I had a "breakfast credit" each morning in the amount of $50. I'm not much of a breakfast person but ordered something via room service anyways because I had the credit. Upon checkout, I was charged for all of the room service breakfasts. I questioned this mistake... I was THEN informed it was not usable for room service. I explained I had no idea this was the case, and had I known I would not have ordered breakfasts. The manager simply argued with me until I gave up. Over at neighboring properties if even the slightest issue comes up (it's rare), they are quick to rectify it and do the right thing by their guest. They never blame the guest or argue. It was one of the most disrespectful experiences I've ever had as a guest of a 5-star resort. Those types of things stick with you. Thanks for that memory, St. Regis. And for duping me out of $150.

Excellent staff top to bottom! First class treatment! They need to solve the driving back up the mountain to property from Park City problem at gate… pretty stupid to have a guard tell guests they have to use funicular to return but we could drive our vehicle down the mountain no problem from the hotel?!? and the valet actually drove our vehicle back up as we rode the funicular?!? Also the fine dining option Rime needs some attention to food quality. The Brasserie and poolside offerings were on the money but the ‘fancy’ restaurant was below expectations. To their credit they did their best to rectify things and we never had any issues at all with any of the servers or staff anywhere in the property. All very nice and worked hard to make things right. Everything else was phenomenal! Pool, champagne toasts, special animal exhibits, made for an all around high-end experience.

Convienent for deer valley summer concert series, confusion on how to access property

We recently stayed at the St. Regis Deer Valley for two nights. The first night was perfect. We saw Lindsey Stirling at the amphitheater, had a relaxing evening in our room, and enjoyed some quality time together as a couple. During check-in, we were told we had been upgraded from a parking-lot view to a mountain view, which sounded great. We were also told there was a wedding scheduled on the patio, but no one disclosed how disruptive it would be. The live band was so loud that we couldn’t relax or have a conversation. Our only options were to blast the TV or wear earplugs, which should never be the case at a 5-star resort. When we raised the issue, the front desk supervisor, Jeff, was extremely rude and dismissive, essentially telling us there would be no refund. The only compensation offered was $200 off our food bill. We were never offered an alternate room, and the deafening noise continued from 6 PM to 11 PM. Ironically, if we had been given the original room we booked, we would have been far from the noise. At over $1,000 a night, we expected better service and proactive communication. If a wedding is going to bring club-level noise, guests should be informed during booking so they can make an informed decision. There are many excellent 5-star choices in Park City, and unfortunately, the St. Regis really let us down. On this trip, even a Fairfield Inn would have been more relaxing.

One of the best experiences I’ve had. I felt completely taken care of, everyone was kind and made sure you had what you needed to enjoy your stay. I cannot recommend enough!
