Maidan Palace Hotel

I prepaid for breakfast for my entire stay, but on one of the days, I wasn’t informed that my breakfast was ready. I waited over half an hour in the breakfast room before anyone even asked if I was dining there. Additionally, the staff regularly forgot to provide me with a new breakfast card. I often had to remember to grab one from the front desk each night upon returning to the hotel. When the cleaning staff realized I was staying alone, they began removing towels, leaving me with just one. The room was booked as a double, so I should have been provided two towels regardless. The Business Double room itself is very small. While the staff were friendly and the rooms were clean, I was disappointed that only one elevator was operational during my stay. Unfortunately, given these issues, I don’t think I’ll choose to stay here again when I return to Kyiv.

Still under remodeling. Any time during the day you can clearly hear drills and some other construction equipment. So if you are checking in at 1400 hours after a long trip, forget about falling asleep. Room is a-ok. The couch has very questionable cleanliness and is old. So is the carpet. There is no thermostat. It just start running heater as soon as you come in. Bathroom was decent. Breakfast menu is not bad at all and you have some choices. But you have ti pay for it. Not included with the price of the stay. You will get a great service from the waiters though. The room price is seemingly the highest in town, and essentially you are paying for the location. Basically you are getting three stars at a good location. Picture Best Western. If you don’t mind spending $50-$80 more per night - go with the Sheraton or Radisson. Khreschatik - you are paying for the location.

Fantastic hotel, well kept. Under renovation, but you don't even notice. Given Kyiv is still facing Russian airstrikes, the hotel has a comfortable and very safe shelter in tbe basement and staff who arrive with tea and cookies. Location is fantastic, food is good, staff are friendly. Very worth your stay.
