Best Western Frodsham Forest Hills Hotel

Called here with the intention of walking downhill too other parts of Frodsham .shame no atmosphere need a facelift in here

The hotel has a great location for walking around the local hills but we weren't there for that kind of leisure activity.

Finding the hotel was very difficult - yes, it is signposted from the A56 but crucial signposts are missing on minor roads. At one time, I was within a few hundred yards of the property with no knowledge of that fact. Only an efficient smartphone mapping system of my son's eventually tracked it down. A double room was booked but the hotel managed not to point out that the bathroom was a disabled facility, not a pretty sight. A short shower completely flooded the bathroom floor and it took every towel to make the bathroom usable. The gradient to the downpipe exit from the shower floor was simply incapable of directing water away. We know because we have had a new bathroom fitted within the last few weeks. Our gradient at home is not great but the shower is fully fitted and watertight.

The view over Runcorn 🤣. No, the Hotel is in a lovely peaceful setting. The room was a good size and clean. Some of the staff were very pleasant but a couple, I wouldn’t pay in washers.

I think the breakfast is well overpriced at £15.95. No complaints about what was on offer, particularly, but for breakfast ?? Also the chairs in the dining room are a total mish mash of fabrics and styles at each table. Maybe I’m old fashioned but to me it looks totally cheap and uncaring. Also some of the chairs with fabric are badly stained, sorry , no excuses for that.

Waited nearly ab hour for a meal. Restaurant wasn't busy.

Quiet, comfortable room. The hotel is set in a lovely area just outside the town centre of Frodsham. Lovely walks from the doorstep. Especially loved the gym which was spacious and good range of equipment, pool, sauna and jacuzzi. Breakfast had enough options for dietary requirements. Staff helpful and friendly.
