Holiday Inn Hammond by IHG

Convenient location, very clean, friendly staff.

The hotel is clean and classy. The lobby and dining room are inviting and well kept. The room we stayed in was clean and comfy. My kids, who normally toss and turn and keep waking up a hotel, slept great. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. There was a thermostat in the wall that responded quickly. The room was also well lit. The bathroom is large and looks nice and there are Dove shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion. The lady at the front desk was very courteous as well. The breakfast was great too. There was an entire college basketball team eating breakfast when we came in. This dudes killed the breakfast buffet but almost as soon as something ran out, another tray was brought in. There were eggs, grits, bacon, sausages, French toast sticks, potato casserole, oatmeal, pastries, fruit, yogurt, bread, and cereal (fruit loops, Cheerios, and Raisin Bran).

Our room “view” was a storage facility but that isn’t something the hotel can fix. There was a small window that overlooked the pool area though.

I did not like it due to noise from train but mainly due to kids running up & down the hallways at 1030-11 at night & first thing in the morning -

Ran out of towels, then gave us way too many. The morning desk agent was not as friendly as the evening’s. The tub had a terrible slow drain. Didn’t receive my IHG points because I booked through Booking.com

There is a train track right behind this hotel. Trains went by 3 times at night blaring horns. The room was dirty with food particles in bathroom sink. Wore our flooring that wasn’t vacuumed.
