Botlierskop Tented Lodge

Ein einmaliges Erlebnis! Wir hatten „Tent No. 19“ und konnten verschiedene Tiere beim Grasen direkt vor dem Balkon sehen. Das Zimmer ist luxuriös eingerichtet. Neben einer freistehenden Badewanne gesellte sich noch ein schöner Kamin. Das Bett war üppig, sehr bequem und mit tollem Ausblick. Das Zimmer war zudem sehr groß. Da geht man auch gern den etwas längeren Weg zur Rezeption, wobei wir in den meisten Fällen von einem Cart mitgenommen wurden. Der Aufenthalt ist als Vollpension angelegt; alle Malzeiten waren reichhaltig und qualitativ hochwertig und ließen nichts zu wünschen übrig. In unseren Arrangement war zudem zwei „Game Drives“ (Jeep Safaris) enthalten - einer als Sundowner von 15:30 bis 18:30, einer am Morgen von 6 bis 9. Beide Fahrten waren atemberaubend mit vielen Tieren (Löwen, Elefanten, Nashörnern, Büffeln, Giraffen, Impalas, Nilpferden, …). Der Guide (Innocent) war super, kannte sich bestens aus und war zudem sehr humorvoll. Insgesamt eine für immer bleibende Erfahrung. Vielen Dank dafür! Volle Punktzahl in allen Kategorien.

Die Lodge sind traumhaft und liegen wunderbar ruhig. Komfortabel und luxuriös! Essen war ebenfalls sehr lecker. Ein sehr warmes willkommen und alles ist perfekt organisiert. Carle, unsere Guide hat uns viele Tiere zeigen können und dabei interessant und kurzweilig erzählt

We stayed at Safari Tented Lodge for 1500 dollars and it was the worst experience of our trip in South Africa. 1. This is not a real tented lodge and the description is misleading The hotel describes itself as a tented lodge, but it is actually a normal room with a metal roof. Inside there is a fabric that looks like a tent, but it is only decoration. It feels like false advertising. If they wanted tents, they could have built real tents. The rooms were clean, but very simple and nothing special. They did not feel premium at all. 2. The restaurant staff was the worst on our whole trip The service in the restaurant was very bad. The staff did not come to the tables. I had to stand up every time to call someone. No one explained how the meals work, what time to come or where to sit. Later we found out that we cannot choose our table and must sit at the one they assign, but no one told us about this. The staff was not friendly and did not help. They just stood there and did nothing. 3. The food was great The only really good thing was the food. The portions were big, the meals were very tasty and the chef clearly knows what he is doing. We enjoyed the food a lot. 4. The hotel looks old and not worth the price For 1500 dollars we expected something nicer. The furniture was old and did not match. The outside of the hotel also looked tired and not well maintained. There was no feeling of comfort or style. 5. The safari is not a real safari It felt more like a big open zoo. There were very few animals. Five giraffes, two lions and three cheetahs. The area is full of hills with short bushes. It does not look like the flat savanna that people imagine. There is also a power line running through the land and it looks strange. 6. Our guide Silas was the only good part We want to thank Silas. He was the only person who made our day better. He was professional, kind and helpful. Final conclusion This hotel is not worth the price.

Die Lodge hat alles was man sich wünschen kann, sehr luxuriöse Zimmer, die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und das Essen ausgezeichnet. Besonders toll sind aber die Game Drives am Morgen und Nachmittags, sehr netter Umgang der Guides untereinander und mit den Tieren. Wir hatten ein paar atemberaubende drives - besonderer Dank an Guide Neil! Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen.
