This is sold as a 5* hotel and I paid £200 a night BB !!! It is worth £80 tops. It is a bistro with rooms above, buyer beware!!! It is not a hotel!! Totally mis-represented on Hotels.com I have bought all my travel over last 4 years of business and personal, however, I was so disappointed with this booking and its representation and the way Hotels.com dealt with the situation, that I closed my account. We did not stay and even though the hotel offered to reimburse 50% of the fee (not returned 24 hours later) we left and cancelled booking. Whilst querying the booking and discussing with staff and hotels.com I found I could make the same booking for £80 on another site. I made by booking on 4th September. Also they debited our account on the 20th Sept. however the terms of my booking were payment on check-out on 4th October. This reason is now obvious as no one would pay £200 a night! Totally misrepresented on Hotels.com !!!

Very average and certainly not value for money! Noisy room and uncomfortable bed pitched way above its true price point. Restaurant was expensive for the food quality and service was slooooow. Issues raised to management but were dismissed in a very arrogant way which typified the whole experience of the stay! Go 500m down the the road to the Cliffhouse, much nicer there.

Its position on the coast is unique and views of the Needles is stunning.

This is an up market restaurant with rooms above the main building. The rooms were very well appointed and clean. Our room purbeck overlooked the pizza shop next door and we were awoken at 6am by bins being emptied . We had a reduced rate through hotels .com so only paid £98 for the one night . Normally £168 which is way over priced At check in the key was not in the room it took them 10minutes to find it , we asked for some fresh milk to make a cup of tea (fridge in room) it never arrived during the whole Stay. Breakfast was a little disappointing bearing in mind the quality of the restaurant, they had no butter so toast was a little dry to say the least , when we asked the response was they were waiting for a delivery . It probably did not occur to them that a convenience store was 20 yards away which had some butter. All in all service was poor not a place I would stay again

Lovely stay, great hotel. The only downside was they only do a continental breakfast although there was plenty to choose from.

Beautiful balcony area with seaviews which is lovely place to eat weather permitting. Rooms are pleasant but all windows are frosted over with plastic decals so although it may create a cosier feel overall i personally didn't like this aspect; it is however the best solution as the rooms overlook carpark, road front or neighbouring buildings. The penthouse however has its own balcony and seaview. The beds in Purbeck room are very comfortable and a coffee machine in the room is a nice extra. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The White Company toiletries were really nice. The breakfast is served at 9.30am which was a bit late especially if you want to go somewhere early and if like us you are early risers. We found that going for a walk along the beach between 8am and 9am helped but i would have really preferred a choice of breakfast times. The continental breakfast content was delicious even though we were not given any choices except for tea/coffee/juice. I would have like to have fruit every morning. I can recommend the restaurant for an evening meal.

we stayed Saturday and Sunday night and considering the hotel had to deal covid concerns the hotel coped perfectly. The room was very clean with hand sanitizer for your own personal use. Menu was a bit limited but what there was, was excellent. Only one draw back with our weekend (apart from the weather) our room had no shower in which to stand up in due to a slopping ceiling over the bath, the bath was good and filled very quickly with piping hot water. We are looking forward to going again. We thoroughly recommend this hotel for that quiet break away.

Excellent stay in the Needles room. Very clean, air conditioned and very close to the beach. Shame the bar and restaurant wasn’t open during our stay but we knew that before arriving.
