"Disappointing"

4.0

We understood that this was a 3 star hotel and were prepared for that but felt that the hotel seemed stuck in the 70s and was a little "tired". The breakfast staff seemed to need a little guidance and replenished items at the end of the breakfast sitting rather than during. Very little English was spoken and there seemed to be no leaflets or books of excursions and information about the area. We would have liked to have hired a car but there was no leaflets available anywhere. Overall we felt the hotel was set up for Italian guests mostly and didn't seem interested in helping anyone who didn't speak Italian. The room is listed as having a "yard" but we did not have this and also we did not have an "expresso machine" which was also in the description. The pool looked adequate but to get any drinks etc you would need to get dressed to go back into the hotel to get one as the pool bar was closed. Consequently no-one used the pool during our 9 day stay as far as we could see! Overall I would not recommend this hotel if you are not Italian.

"Discreto"

6.0

"Stop over hotel only"

6.0

Stayed here for 2 nights and that is enough. Air con is limited to 10.30pm until 7am and a bit in the day. Room basic but had upgrade to sea view (hence 3 not 2 star) loads of noise from echoey rooms. Breakfast is odd with a really random selection. Beach opposition is lovely but €15 for brolly and 2 chairs.

"It was good enough"

6.0

We stayed here for one night after flying into Rome and heading South to Amalfi. It is certainly a bit dated with fixtures in need of replacing. However a upper floor room with a balcony gives a magnificent view of the sunset. The breakfast buffet was adequate not fancy by any means but good. the front desk lady was friendly and helpful sending us to a good area for a meal. The biggest drawback is the very thin walls we could hear the couple in the next room too well.

"Lovely, friendly place to stay"

10.0

We bagged a bargain here. Booked 10 days in May 2015 (7th - 17th) for £325 inc breakfast. We have been to Anzio before, staying at the Hotel Dei Cesari which was not friendly at all! We were the only long stay guests at the hotel as the season doesn't start until June. We had amazing weather 29c and the pool to ourselves! Anzio is a quiet fishing port, not many tourists and the ones who are, tend to be Italians taking a break from Rome which is only an hour away on the train. Staff couldn't do enough for us and at the end of the holiday they rounded 'down' the bill.........imagine that in the UK! Lots of places to eat, takeaways and bars/cafe's but not the place for an action packed holiday, it's a chill out zone, brilliant. We tended to buy lunch from the local supermarket and make it ourselves, spent so little during this break. We ate out in the evening and found the BEST little pizza place selling the BEST pizza we have ever eaten. It's situated just behind the hotel, called 'Mangiapizza' All the locals were so welcoming and waved as we went by their various outlets. We visited the CWWG & the beach head museum (WW11) which is a short walk from the hotel. Went to Rome for the day, wouldn't do that again. Rome has changed so much since we were last there, touts, beggars and REALLY expensive Saturday sees a little market in the town centre. Ice cream is a must, amazing. Coffee for two tended to cost around 3 euros, meal's out around £30 euros, including a bottle of wine If you are looking for a really relaxing break with the pool and beach a step away, this is the ideal place. Loved it Ginny & Jonnny (Sheffield)

"Good Value "iffy breakfast""

6.0

We stayed at the Hotel while visiting the Commonwealth War Grave at Anzio. The Hotel was good value overall. We had a balcony room which was clean but the Air conditioning was intermittent at best. The breakfast was "hit and miss". Our first day was ok with cereals, boiled eggs and the usual meat and cheeses. The Hotel caters for Coach parties who seem to arrive late in the evening and depart early the next day. The breakfast laid out on these days was much reduced with no cereals or boiled eggs. Requests to restock the breakfast after the coach party had departed failed to gain much of a response. It is a 15 mins walk into Anzio where there are numerous restaurants etc. We used the Chinese next to the Hotel a couple of times and it was good value with friendly staff.
