Holiday Inn Express & Suites - CUT OFF GALLIANO by IHG

I was charged twice, once while reserving the room and then again when I arrived.

This Holiday Inn has been recently rebuilt from the last hurricane (Ida), it looks nice BUT, as soon as you go to your room and microwave one of the small meals they sell up front? ANTS. Luckily not fire ants, but the little raspberry crazy ants. I don't mean one or two either. I took a short video clip of them (20 or 30 of the pests) and showed the clerk up front. I was assured they would spray for these things after I'd leave in the morning for work. To sum it up? I came back after a 12 hour day, didn't smell any pesticides, sat down to eat another microwave enchilada meal, and was again swarmed with MORE ants. I went to the desk and asked if the room had been treated for the pests and was told "they went to look and didn't see any so..." Great. I ended up checking out a day early. When the bugs get to where they run across your face in the middle of the night and wake you up? Yup, that happened. Time to go. I also ran into a bit of passive-aggressive hostility when I checked out early (due to the bugs). I won't go around and actively tell one and all about the bug stampedes or poor service I was rendered BUT if I am asked? I will recommend a motel in Golden Meadow.

The hotel has become run down and the halls smell of mildew? The room I got last time the carpet had turned from brown to green. Looks like they are in need of a renovation. Everything else is typical Holiday Inn, comfortable beds, and room amenities including a mini fridge. 1 mini bar of soap and body wash /shampoo dispensers in the shower.

This is a good place to stay, and coming from me that's high praise. You shouldn't be dissatisfied with this place. I will use this hotel again. Good choice of restaurants close by, a Walmart across the road.

Hotel did not disappoint. Great location in southeast Louisiana. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Several restaurants within a short drive from hotel. Only minor issue was the internet connection was a little slow and sporadic. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was very nice. The staff was great. The breakfast buffet was particularly clean and well stocked. There are very few hotel options in this area, but this one is great. There is not much scenery.

Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites in Galliano, LA is expensive, but that's because they don't have a lot of competition and there is a steady flow of customers that stay there before going to work offshore. Most people's companies' pay for their hotel, so price to them is not as important. The good thing is, it is a clean hotel and you can get a good night's rest before going to work offshore.
