The Carriage Inn B&B

This place is amazing. The owners are absolutely wonderful. The room was spacious and so comfortable. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to all. I will stay here from now on, when I'm in the area.

The history behind the Carriage Inn property was unexpected. The place was classy - felt like I was back in the mid 19th century. The hosts were as classy as the B&B. Food was excellent.

We will stay there again, and again thereafter. Great Hospitality, charming historic building, and yummy Breakfast each morning to start the day off just right. Don and Marie are wonderful! Nice area to roam around or go and donate some hard earned money at the Casino and Horse Races that are with walking distance.

What a beautiful place to rest and relax! Easy parking on the property. The hosts were so thoughtful throughout our short stay. We arrived about 4pm and were greeted with a short history of this important residence and a beautiful pound cake and coffee/tea in the dining room. Our suite was not in the main house but was a 2-story cottage right next to the house. The furnishings were period and so comfy. The queen-size bed was very comfortable. We had an oversized jacuzzi tub that I soaked in for a couple of hours, soooooo relaxing. We took a short stroll downtown to eat dinner. The best part was getting breakfast served at our door at a time of our choosing. Delicious homemade quiche and muffins and yogurt/apple/granola parfaits and bacon, so yummy!!! We'll definitely stay here again when we're in the area.

Donn & Marie are fantastic! I had dessert every time I walk through the door, coffee/tea, a fireplace in my room.. It can't be beat. This was my first B&B and I was very impressed. So much more than a hotel can offer.

Nice B&B and the owners were very accommodating, bathroom could use a renovation in line with period style of hotel, but that's just me. Overall very pleased with our stay.

We checked in at carriage Inn on the last they of our Anniversary celebration... little weary from all the driving and being away from home. But what we experienced at the Inn with Inn keeper a wonderful couple plus even very kind guests were nothing less than the best experience of all the years of my traveling experience. Place was ultra modern yet with so much history and story for 150 plus years. Anything weary travelers may need were provided down to smallest detail. We wish we had made this place for our first leg of journey, then we would have cancel all other lodging reservation and just stayed here. We would definitely be back again and again On the way out, along the Potomac river and Shenandoah river, this spectacular view was waving us goodbye.

Don and Marie could not have been friendlier and more respectful of our privacy.

Wow, what a place! The room is large and comfortable. The breakfast pie taste great the hosts are Charming.
