Barefoot Beach Pad

We stayed at Barefoot for a week and we are missing it already. The hotel is small but has a lot of heart and a lot to offer the guests. The room was amazing with a large balcony overlooking the ocean. We came for my husband to kite board and found the beach to be very private and away from the fray of kite beach making it an ideal hotel for kiting. It is also a great place to relax on the beach without tons of people. The owners Ben and Evelyn made our stay enjoyable and the food at the hotel bar was always great ( the poke bowl was my favourite!!) They did a great job at personalizing our experience. This hotel is just lovely, it is just outside of town right on the beach, and also a lovely swimming pool. the food at the restaurant on the property was some of the best food I had while in Dominican Republic, The owners are just wonderful people . If I could give this a higher rating I would. Thanks for everything had a wonderful time.

Wonderful beach. Clean. Beautiful pool. Prefect temperature. The atmosphere was great with wonderful management. The food was good. We will for sure be going back and recommending!

Wonderful find. Owners Ben and Evelyn create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Ben is a chef and prepares wonderful dinners for the guests. Lovely small hotel about a 30 minute walk on the beach into Cabarete.

We picked Barefoot based off the other reviews that had been posted and it turned out to be a fantastic lucky guess. I got an email about a week prior to our trip so I could arrange transportation from the airport which was very helpful. Once there, everyone was incredibly nice and we were able to get recommendations for places to go check out, restaurants, car rentals, directions...just about anything you could think of. Food was also excellent. They are in the process of making some upgrades to the bar/outdoor eating area and as soon as that is finished, I would happily spend almost all of my time there and would not feel the need to go into town unless I wanted to. Beach/ocean is about five feet away out the gate. Go stay with Hector and Ben, you won't disappointed.

When we arrived, the owner, Hector, met us, explained everything, and drove us to the grocery store. The location is beautiful--just a 30 minute walk up the beach to town. Andreas, who does everything, and his wife, Andrea, who cleans, were also wonderful.

I stayed for 5 days at the barefoot beach pad. Pros. - The hotel is walking distance to the best bars, restaurants, etc of main cabarete. - It's in front of a very 'private' beach. - Andres is always around for whatever you need (which is the head of the staff). Cons. - The a/c is really noisy (it wasn't working the 1st night). - The hot water is not enough and sometimes was missing. - The tv (cable, etc) is really bad quality. - I didn't have the option of late checkout. Over all, it was ok.

Very kind staff, warm pool, spacious room, beach is your neighbor. Wonderful hotel.

Andres made sure I had everything I needed. Breakfast, dinners were great. Decent wifi. Room was made up promptly. All were very cordial and accomadating.
