Sorell Hotel Sonnental Dübendorf

The hotel is not too far from Stettbach train station, but quite a bit out from Zurich central. Overall the hotel is good, rooms are fine and the bed is comfortable. However, if it is hot you will need the window open, and until zurich airport closes there is constant airplane noise, and if your room faces the carpark/entrance/restaurant, it will be noisy until very late, and again from very early. If you are in town for business you might not get the restful sleep you might need.

It was very hot while we were there and the room had no air conditioning which made it stuffy even if the window was open. Bus right across the road and train and trams about 10 minute walk. Nothing around the area apart from housing so nowhere to get food apart from their restaurant. Breakfast was lovely with lots of variety. The staff were very helpful.

Definitely a bargain--includes parking, breakfast and wifi! And the BEST--the wellness center! It was as good as going to thermal spas! Staff were great! I highly recommend this hotel!

No lift for baggage,difficult town to locate coming in by car not very good value for money.

I was given a room above the kitchen which I could hear until midnight and then again from 5am. From 12 until 5am there was a constant hum from a generator or fan. The room was very hot and I couldn't open the windows because it became noisier and smoke came in the windows from guests and staff smoking by the back door below. When I complained in the morning, I was told "Yes. Sorry - you are right it is because you are over the kitchen" - as if they know about this issue. Really disappointing - I had a lot of driving and 2 important meetings to attend the following day. On the plus side, the restaurant offered tasty simple food, the décor was smart and the staff friendly.

on a recent trip to Switzerland we decided to spent one night in Zürich and found this good value for money. It is only 15 minutes from the center of Zürich by car or easy to reach by public transportation. A nice wellness center is an added bonus and the location is quiet with free parking in front of the hotel. The rooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable and the free breakfast was very good and typical for the region with cold cuts, muesli and plenty of fresh fruits. Will be happy to return next time in Zürich.

Super friendly, pleasant and helpful staff, a wonderful breakfast and quiet location. Although the hotel is slightly out of town, the hotel is close to both the streetcar and train, which can get you where you need to go quickly and economically.

Staff very accomodating, always willing to help when asked. Food and beer always good.
