Le Silve di Armenzano

The hotel is build in a medieval construction. The grounds and the setting is beautiful! On top of a mountain with fantastic views, quiet well appointed rooms, large bathrooms, air conditioning works very well. The restaurant was very good and the staff’s courtesy was appreciated.

The only negative is to get there. It is a one lane, small curvy road, kind of dangerous about 30’ from Assisi. We chose this hotel to be near Assisi but to get to Assisi was an ordeal so we decided to spend the day we left in Assisi to save us a drive.

Not easy to get to, but worth the effort. Spectacular views and great hiking trails. The restaurant was wonderful and the wine list offered some delicious Umbrian wines, including Sagrantino. The breakfast buffet was over the top.

Io e mio marito abbiamo trascorso 4 notti in questa struttura e siamo stati meravigliosamente bene: un'oasi di pace immersa nelle verdi colline Umbre, ideale per staccare la spina. Camera, ristorante ottimi e personale gentile e professionale. Di giorno visitavamo i meravigliosi borghi medievali dell Umbria e nel tardo pomeriggio rientravamo nella nostra meravigliosa oasi per gustare un aperitivo e per la cena (piatti con prodotti di produzione della tenuta). Assolutamente consigliato!

Lovely accomodation in the country away from hustle & bustle of towns. Great staff & the dining was an incredible experience with beautifully cooked local produce. Wish we could have stayed more than one night.

Nothing, the long drive in is necessary to experience the calm of country life.

Staff were incredibly enthusiastic, friendly and willing to help. We booked a fantastic cookery course and the receptionist acted as the interpreter for the chef, which really helped and was great fun. The organisation for the course was brilliant and cannot be faulted. The restaurant and service was first class and the food was delicious. The location and views were stunning.

The access road is extremely rough and serious caution needs to be taken when in a hire car.

One of the most beautiful places to stay at. The facilities are excellent and if you love nature, it is absolute heaven! The food is very special and present a very fine choice of local cuisine.

This is a unique property in the middle of a National Park. Yes the road leading up to it is winding and narrow and rutted but again it is in the middle of nowhere and we have driven roads like this all over Italy to get to beautiful places. Some of the outdoor areas are not as manicured as I’m sure they once were but overall the surrounding scenery more than makes up for it. The restaurant has a limited excellent menu and the team headed by Simone is very welcoming. Also enjoyed his choice of music! We found the room very clean with beautiful views from the outdoor space although the bathroom could use a refresh as quite dated. The sunsets were beautiful followed by an amazing night sky. If you love to be removed from the hustle and bustle, eat good food and drink great wine have incredible views but be close enough to Italian towns full of incredible history then you should stay here.
