"Quiet, great value"

8.0

We spent here one night on our way from Venice back to home, and enjoyed a good sleep in very quiet and spacious room. We got third floor with panaramatic window overlooking nearby lake and mountains. Our room and bathroom was clean and worthy 3-star hotel standard. The breakfast was rather standard with no hot meal and coffee from machine, so during long stay one may get annoyed. However, for about 72EUR/double and one night only our overall impession was a great value! (btw. The access road to this Hotel from Austrian side is in a noticeable better shape than the opposite one from Italy)

"Fantastic destination for boarding/ski-ing"

10.0

Rooms: quiet, comfortable, clean, spacious, lots of hooks for all your boarding gear, our room had a nice view. Nice, spacious bathroom with plenty of hot water. Food: there was an extensive range to choose from for breakfast (hot food, continental, ham, cheese) and it was all excellent. Dinner was fantastic (you have to arrive for dinner between 7 and 7.15) - every night a salad starter available (with everything you could imagine in) plus two types of soup (one veggie.) There's then the first course and second course (so filling having both!) and a dessert buffet including fresh fruit. For both courses there was always at least one veggie option and it was all excellent - just what you need for the energy for winter sports. Location: 5min walk to button lifts, 10min walk to main resort (crossing the border to Austria). Only by one other hotel so very peaceful at night and far enough away from the snow canons to avoid any noise from them bothering you in the night if your window's open. Resort: excellent - lots of red runs, some blue runs and some black runs. Was cloudy some days but had gorgeous sunshine for the best part of the week. There are runs on both sides of the valley so when one starts to be covered by shade you can just go to the other! There were plenty of restaurants/bars serving Austrian (of course!) food - good fayre both meat eaters an veggies alike. Toilets were well placed - never a hassle to get to. Hotel in general: very polite, friendly staff only too happy to help. Bar on the main floor was nice and there's a bar in the basement too but very smokey in there. The spa faciliites were lovely - steam room, sauna and a (tepid) jacuzzi - open from 15:30 - 18:30. Beautiful decorating - very alpine and cosy. Some sofas and chairs in the lobby too. You could find a parking place just outside the hotel. Internet was 9 euros for 2hrs (the time was only used up whilst you were actually using the net.) Beautiful views from the hotel.
