Stated self check-in but there were people around to help with my difficulty with the key lock Nice room with everything I needed. Comfortable bed. Great shower. Tea/coffee tray Considering I was on the ground floor Room 1 near the entrance I didn't hear any noise/banging Good quiet location only a 10 minute walk to the City Walls & York Minster & 20 minutes walk to train station

Heavily stained carpet Hole in ceiling above the wardrobe Only one double plug socket near the bed & one bedside table No curtains. The morning light shone through the blinds and woke me up

The location is good, easy walk to town. Easy self-check in and out system.

i arrived at the property after a long day at work. the key lock would not opened, i telephoned the number given and made a call to the vendors. i was met with an extremely rude female with a far eastern accent firstly demanded payment for the parking which i had aready paid for, i explained the problem and she retorted by telling me that i was wrong and that is if she came down and had to sort problems then she would be angry with me and would charge me extra, when i told her that the key lock jammed and it may break if i tried to force it she told me that if i caused damage she would report me to the police this lady was rude throughout the call i have spent the last 20 years in travelling around the world and have never come across such aggression. this place is to be avoided. further more when i asked for her name she refused to give it and told me that it was my fault.....please avoid this place..very poor experience

The ease of check in/out, it was great value for money, no breakfast available but we knew that when booking but there's no shortage of choice in York. The facilities overall we're good

The bed was a little soft for our liking.
