I understand the hosts can’t always help the behaviours of their guests but they are responsible to ensure the comfort of them. Unfortunately if you stay in room 3, be aware you have rooms above you and if you’re unlucky like me and my husband you will be subjected to an absolute nightmare. We had guests upstairs with a child (no family rooms btw) that from 7:30pm until 2:30am were banging, talking, clattering, stomping and having sex loudly. Basically it sounded like a stampede upstairs. There was slamming doors every few minutes and it was unbearable. We texted the guest house hosts at 10:30pm and it was read at 00:15am but we didn’t receive a response until 9:55am conveniently at check out time (we left much earlier because sadly it dampened our entire stay) they stated we should have called but I didn’t feel comfortable doing so at such a late hour. I worry that the price and facilities is bringing in the wrong clientele and not people that want a quiet, relaxing break. Also room was strange, it was clean and comfortable but the shower was essentially next to your bed. And I have to wonder how hygienic it can be when you’re leaving the shower straight onto the carpet. Surely this will cause damp issues? No matt or area to step onto when first leaving the shower. Tea and coffee facilities tucked under the sink that’s also your bathroom sink next to your bed. Fan/heater provided but so noisy you cant use it. Room number 4 is upstairs but appears to have a separate bathroom down the stairs past our room so we heard people constantly going up and down, but the information on here says every room is en-suite. Self check in which is fine but again if you have any issues it’s basically mute because noone is here. Sadly, I would not stay here again and would not recommend anyone else do so either. Had there been no issues with noise I still don’t think the location and the room is worth what it cost. Sorry.
