Romantik Hotel Zell am See

Wonderful historical hotel. Beautifully presented hotel with individually decorated bedrooms and comfortable beds. Tastefully decorated throughout with lots of historical artefacts in the bar area. Family owned and all staff were lovely and eager to assist. we did the breakfast and dinner package and enjoyed both the food and the whole experience. The inside/outside pool was a bonus and heated too. Would return in a heartbeat.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel. We were treated to an upgrade to the honeymoon suite, which was such a lovely surprise and made our time in Zell am See even more special. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and looked after us well. We loved the cosy bar area with log fire and the food in the restaurant was amazing! The spa/sauna area was clean and didn't get too busy. The hotel is right in the centre of the town, so very convenient and it was nice and quiet. I can't really fault anything and would highly recommend a stay here!

What a wonderful experience we had at Romantik Hotel Zell am See! From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in a sense of luxury and comfort that made our stay truly memorable. Our hotel room was lovely—plush, modern, and beautifully decorated with a regal touch and a hint of glitz. It felt like a perfect retreat. The bathroom was equally impressive, featuring a fantastic shower and an additional close-up makeup mirror, which was perfect for getting ready. The lighting throughout the room was excellent, with plenty of lamps and a powerful overhead chandelier that created a warm and inviting atmosphere. We even had a comfy couch aswell! Cleanliness was clearly a priority here; everything was spotless, and the housekeeping service was exceptional. Each day, they went above and beyond, even organizing my dressing gown nicely on the bed sheets, which I thought was a cute touch. We also enjoyed a lovely balcony where we could sit outside and savor drinks and snacks while taking in the beautiful surroundings. The wardrobes were spacious and well-equipped, adding to the overall comfort of our stay. The spa was a highlight of our visit, offering a relaxing and soothing atmosphere that smelled wonderfully of pine. With a lovely hot tub, swimming pools, sauna, steam rooms, and a fantastic range of massage treatments, it was the perfect place to unwind. I indulged in a pine facial and an Arnica leg massage, both of which were delightful. The staff at Romantik Hotel Zell am See were incredibly friendly and helpful. On our first day, the receptionist even assisted me with my suitcase, which was a lovely gesture. However, there were a couple of minor disappointments. The hot tub was cold on two occasions, which was unfortunate as I had hoped to relax in the warm water after a long hike in the mountains. Additionally, the swimming pool was also freezing on one day. It was a bit temperamental, but we still enjoyed the facilities overall. Another point to note was that our room was located above the garage block, which felt a bit odd as we had to walk through a car park to access the spa. We also tried the restaurant one evening, and the food was very nice. However, my husband felt a bit unwelcome during his visits to the bar, where he encountered some confusion regarding service and payment. It took a while to get served, which was a bit frustrating. Despite these minor issues, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely return in the future. The location was amazing, and we loved every moment of our time at Romantik Hotel Zell am See!

What's better than coming home? … Coming home feels familiar and always good. In short: you wouldn't think it could be better than coming home. ... But ... at home you of course have to take care of the housework, prepare the food, make your bed and so many other things. What could be better than feeling completely at home and not having to do all those homely things. In other words: Welcome to Romantikhotel!! Last year we visited Romantikhotel again for the fifteenth time in a row. What can we add to all those beautiful and wonderful things you meet? For example, we are thinking of the incredibly beautiful hotel, all the facilities that the hotel has, plenty of (covered) parking, E-bike rental, the ideal location in Zell am See, the delicious food with a wide choice, the option to eat both indoors and outdoor dining, the great wellness and the indoor and outdoor swimming pool, the Romantikhotel offers the attractive “Zell am See Summer Card” with which numerous sights and facilities are completely free. But the area around the Romantikhotel is also wonderful and vibrant if you wish. The enchanting natural landscape in and around Zell am See, there is so much to do in Zell am See (skiing, walking, jogging, cycling, swimming, golfing, paragliding, boat rental, etc.), in short: too much to mention. Everything is really great. But we almost forgot to mention the most important thing. At Romantikhotel you will be pampered by the Hörl family and their employees not only as a guest. They are always there for you and try to make your holiday unforgettable with their typical Austrian hospitality and friendliness. But even more... they pamper you not only as a guest but even more as... a person. The moment you enter their hotel you immediately notice that this hotel is “different”. The hotel, the Hörl family and the employees really give you the feeling that the hotel is really your temporary “home”. But then a home without having to do chores. Therefore: can it be even better than Romantikhotel? .. After fifteen years we dare to say: the Romantikhotel is the place to be! Family Meeuws (The Netherlands)

Family run hotel with excellent staff, nothing is too much trouble. Excellent food on half board basis, always a choice of meat, fish or vegetarian. Room comfortable and very clean in a central location. Staff happy to answer any questions about the local area and recommend suitable excursions.

Absolutely loved the spa, space and decor of our bedroom and helpful staff. Only complaint was noise late at night and early morning from the kitchen under our room
