I thought the reception staff and the main restaurant staff were very good. The room was big, it was clean it was comfortable and I had a lovely weekend.

The parlor room/drawing room/casual dining staff were just really poor. You were constantly ignored, constantly had to get their attention, constantly had to ask them for everything. You were left with empty drinks, empty plates and after three days it really detracted from all the good elements. It left you feeling fatigue. We are local and we wouldn't stay again sadly.

from the moment we turned into the entrance, up the long avenue and to see the castle, the lawns, what a view, then inside the building is spotless, staff so friendly, rooms lovely, went down to the wedding venue, it was breath taking ,food at the wedding reception was beautiful, breakfast next morning was great, such a choice of food and again the staff were exceptional, So from Start to finish 11/10

Very attentive staff, comfortable beds. The hotel had 2 bars and 2 restaurants. We tried the casual one, and the food was very delicious. For tasting menu its good to book in advance. Also there was library for reading. Breakfast also had a wide selection, You could decide between a la carte and irish breakfast and speciality coffee was included in the price. The building had lots of authentic decorations and furniture.

Spa area would benefit from renovation.

I just love it here. It’s probably my 10th visit! Fab hotel, sizeable family room, lovely well maintained grounds with beautiful walks. The staff were friendly & attentive. I’d especially like to mention Mary at breakfast both mornings & the lovely girl who checked us in on arrival. We are never disappointed when we visit.

We recently stayed at Kilronan Castle Estate & Spa for a wedding in Sligo and honestly the experience was very disappointing from start to finish. One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was because we had been told in advance that arranging taxis would be no problem at all. We specifically checked this beforehand because we needed transport for the wedding. However, when we went to reception the morning we needed the taxi, we were suddenly told there were only two people working on reception and that they couldn’t call anybody or help us arrange one. Instead, we were simply handed an A4 sheet with a long list of taxi names and phone numbers with no explanation whatsoever and expected to figure it out ourselves while stressed and trying to get somewhere on time. After that, we were basically left to sort everything ourselves, which was genuinely shocking considering reliable transport was one of the main reasons we chose to stay there in the first place. The customer service throughout the stay felt cold and unhelpful. Nobody showed us where our room was, where the lifts were, or where the spa and gym were located. Even after asking, it felt like we were expected to figure everything out ourselves. It honestly felt like we were intruding whenever we needed assistance and their attitude often made it feel like asking for help was an inconvenience. At times it almost felt more like staying in an Airbnb than a hotel, because there was very little actual hospitality or guidance throughout the stay. Another thing that stood out was when we were carrying all of our bags out while checking out. There was a trolley sitting nearby and staff could clearly see us struggling, yet nobody offered to help in any way. Dinner was another disappointment. We asked about food options but because we weren’t interested in the expensive multi course meal, it felt like we were just brushed aside rather than offered any alternatives. In the end we left and ate elsewhere.

Beautiful setting, very professional staff, large room , spotlessly clean , the spa and pool area was excellent, the hotel was busy but still had a calm atmosphere..... It's a great place to chill
