Caol Ishka Hotel

Für unsere Entdeckungsreise nach West -und Süd -Sizilien war der Aufenthalt im Hotel Caol Ishka der ideale Standort.Obwohl sehr verkehrsgünstig ,liegt das Hotel in einem ruhigen ,großen Garten.Wir unternahmen viele Ausflüge :Ätna, barocker Süden, Wanderungen ,ans Meer, abends in die Altstadt nach Syrakus. Die Atmosphäre im Hotel war sehr angenehm, das Ambiente :stimmig, das Essen : alles sehr fein (kleine Karte).

Very nice time in this casual and cosy setting near Syracusa. Open space layout of the buildings, free parking. Warm welcome, attentive service and great restaurant. Super for families and friends, especially in the season when you can swim. Rooms are spacious and very clean. But especially the very friendly staff make you feel at home.

Only one comfortable chair, lighting unpleasant. No good for reading. Interesting design. Bed upstairs. Staff very accomodating. Location quiet and neaR city

I would recommend this little paradise to anyone who is looking for a quite place close to the city center but immersed in the green. The hotel is in a very quite area, 5 minutes by push bike (provided by the hotel) or 15 minutes by canue (also provided by the hotel) from Ortigia, far from the noise and traffic. The hotel is quite small, only 10 room or so, immersed in a park. The location is just amazing. I visited only 2 rooms but I was told that all rooms are different. The ones I slept in were very stylish!! Food also was great, and the restaurant is very nice and discrete. Pool is nice and the garden, actually the park, is top!! I would definitely recommend this little paradise to anyone!

Down a gravel drive off the busy exit road heading east is the unexpected Caol Ishka. Beside a sleepy river filled with large fish and moorhens is a low built spread of rooms, each comfortably large and well furnished with extensive lawns, a swimming pool and ample parking. The crowning glory is the cooking of young chef Zefarrano who uses such style and imagination and perfect seasoning from herbs and plants growing in the gardens. He deserves wider recognitions. His steak is like the best I have eaten.

Design außergewöhnlich und geschmackvoll. Große Überraschung war das sehr gute Essen. Im Bistro. Einziger Makel war die laute, direkt neben dem Bett stehende Klimaanlage.

Sehr gutes Essen. Hotel wird im Winter renoviert. Personal ist sehr nett. Gute Ausgangslage und viel Potential um sehr gut zu werden. Zimmer sauber.

Nice renovated farm house, Nice room, nice breakfast, helpful staff, 5 min drive to ortigia and 10 min drive from local beaches Make sure to book the garden rooms Nice pool area, though many bees due to closeness to the river band We didn't try the in house restaurant as Ortigia has many tasty ones to offer.

Great stay. Staff really nice and helpful. The restaurant was excellent for our evening meal and the breakfast really high quality. Overall a very nice experience would highly recommend.

The staff at the hotel were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. We stayed for one night and felt beautifully spoilt.
